SnackMasters California Style Turkey Jerky, Teriyaki, 2-Ounce Packages (Pack of 8)

This box of 8 had an exp date of 7.29.16. I was happy to get another orfet at close to the same cost as last year. The taste was great but all bags were rather chewy or dried more than any Snackmasters turkey jerky I ever had. The first bag was so dry that a piece snapped off and could barely be chewed. Second bag a little better but dried and a piece had to be snapped off and carefully chewed a long while before swallowing. The other bags were also tough. Like I said the taste was the same so I kept this order. I hope the next box is moister.

The first bag my hubby and I had was very good. It was big pieces that weren't too tough and I LOVE that this jerky is nitrate free!! The second bag we ate as a snack while driving at night so we didn't see all the peppercorns in the bottom of the bag! What we thought was little pieces of jerky was actually very hot black peppercorns and we didn't have any water to wash it down! Yikes, that was painful :o( There wasn't any in the first bag we ate so I guess we will just have to be more careful in the future since the jerky isn't really uniformly packaged.

I love this jerky. The taste is probably my favorite kind of Jerky. I used to buy these at Trader Joe's until they started making their own inferior jerky. Would give this 5 stars, but I've found that it's either hit and miss depending on the freshness of the jerky. Sometimes you get a bad batch where it tastes great, but it's really hard to chew. Also, only 4 starts because I can't find the 3 oz package online either. Only the 2 oz and 1 oz.

I was looking for snack bags of turkey jerky to keep around when I need a snack.This one, although the taste is fine, is one of the tougher chews I have experienced. It is stringy and thin. I have had others than are meatier and not as tough to chew. it is basically a single serving package, not resealable. I would say it is just "ok".

No extra ingredients, all natural, and no additional sugars (corn syrup, molasses, or brown sugar) my boys and I love it for quick, lean, source of protein in quick snack form. We have tried other items from natural beef and turkey sticks (that my boys likened to eating a raw hot dog), to other jerky products. Flavor, texture, and relative ease of chewing and eating make SnackMaster a family favorite.

Tried these as I recently got into turkey jerkey. My wife and i found these a little bit dry for our taste so would not order again. that being said the 1 oz packages are perfect for traveling, snacks on the go.

This turkey jerky tastes good but dries out too quickly and becomes difficult to chew. Though the packaging is in what seems like an air tight plastic bag, it is not.

Great tasting......family really likes it......great for school lunches BUT will probably not order any more because it says no where on the pkg. that the turkey is from humanely treated animals.
