I'm impressed with the quality, function, and how easy it it is to install/remove.

Legit. The only fender setup better would be a full wheel fender that is mounted to your brake mounts at twice the price. Keeps your legs dry on turning and also your rear bib dry from rear wheel spray. Couldn’t be lighter so no real noticeable weight gains. Great design and work well for their purpose. Also 1 minute to install and 15 seconds to remove.

First, I love it and I'm very happy with it. But wow, I reaaally wasn't so sure about this thing out of the box. Right out of the box, it seemed flimsy and I wasn't sure about the way it mounts. I had buyer's regret before even putting it on my bike, so I let it sit in the box for two days before deciding I might as well finally try it. And that's when I realised all my whinging was for nothing - this thing is GREAT. It is made of thin plastic, the outer part is very thin and even flexible. This has nothing to do with performance, though - unless you're going to be putting weight on it for some reason, there is no way the thinness of it is a problem. It actually makes it much lighterweight, which is something many of us want. The mount is extremely easy to put on... and extremely easy to take off so I take it off when I leave my bike unattended in most public places. I use the sleeve of an old, trashed, long umbrella to keep it in my bag without making a mess, and it works fantastically! Definitely mount it TIGHTLY to avoid it shifting while riding. That's easy to do and the mount part is strong enough that I don't worry about it breaking from overtightening it. It also just looks great. I have a pretty minimal bike and this fits in just fine, because it's thin and barely noticeable. And obviously, it functions - no stripe of mud up my bag and back after my commute. That's pretty important.

I needed a fender for my '89 Schwinn Traveler, and as there's not enough room between the rear wheel and brake calipers for a more permanent one, I opted for an adjustable S-blade which many of my biking friends have purchased. I wanted to keep the clean, streamlined look of my bike, which is why I went for this model. Absolutely love it. No more wet butt when it's rainy! It's wide enough to block splatter from the rear wheel while still looking sleek. It really blends in with my bike, and I haven't had a problem at all with slippage or movement. You're able to really clasp it down snugly, and it's also very simple to install. Highly recommend.

I have a 700C road bike I have converted to a townie (upright bars, more comfortable seat, rear rack). One of the challenges was finding a fender that would work on a 30 year old steel road bike frame - and fit around the rear rack too. This fit perfectly, and I drilled/bolted the back portion of the fender (using an L bracket from Walmart) to a bracket on bottom of the rack where I have a light mounted. It is solid, and close enough to the rear wheel to make a difference. It's not a full fender enclosure like a hybrid would have, but it is a great addition. Very pleased.

Good price and gets the job done. The only downside is that it slides around and is a little awkward to get it tight enough. I've been able to prevent that with rubber bands and other grippy materials around my seat post, but I feel like that could be avoided had they just made the strap grippier. Nonetheless, I used this bad boy for a long time and it kept me reasonably dry for a narrow, lightweight and detachable fender. You can make this work, but SKS could also make it work better.

Surprisingly elegant, effective design. I bought this rear fender for a Fuji Absolute hybrid bike which uses 700 x 35c wheels. I wasn't sure if the fender would effectively cover the width of the wheel, but I'm happy to report that it works well. The fender attaches very quickly and easily with a small latch that wraps around your seat post. Pretty clever and surprisingly secure. My only complaint, which isn't worth subtracting a star for, is that the fender has to be mounted relatively high on my seat post. I can fit a light above it, but not a light and a reflector. I've adhered reflective material to the fender to compensate for this limitation.

Good occasional use fender. I had the older model which was fine. This one has an useful additional pivot to adjust for angle differences between the seat post and tire location.

Long time commuter and I used to have a bike with full wrap around fenders front and rear. I was considering getting the same for my current commuter but decided against it as I wanted to be able to easily remove them for non wet riding days. I previously owned the mountain bike version of the front and rear fender from SKS and was happy with the performance. My commuter is a Giant roadbike and it has a non round seatpost that makes it easier to align straight. Therefore I was skeptical about how this would work. Even with the non rounded post it seems to stay in place quite nicely once tensioned up. There is enough friction that the fender will not spin even when slightly bumped. The adjustment is great and you can get this really close to the tire to minimize the spray. Overall this is a great option for people that don't want full wrap around fenders. I still think the full wrap fenders give the best protection but if you want the ease of removal this is the fender to get. I can't give a long term review on this but if my previous experience with SKS is any indicator then I am sure they will last a very long time. I even ordered the front fender for some additional protection.
