Great quality stool with VERY comfy cushion seat
This is a very sturdy and quality built unit. The lowest seat position is taller than what most would want to use as a stool for use in kitchen food prep or such use. For me it works just perfect. I have back problems and need to sit while I try to cook and this works great to push around on my hardwood floors. I did order another set of casters that were made for wood floors after reading another reviewer that stated that they would recomend doing so. I am not sure if it was needed or not. I just did not want to take the chance. The legs are metal and strong so I feel that there will be no issues or problems with them. I bought a different stool made with plastic legs that had one break and I fell in a heap on the floor and with my numerous back fusion surgeries I really could have had a major problem on my hands! The backrest on this one is much nicer than the previous which lacked one.Shipping was very quick and because I choose the Super Saver Shipping it was no charge freight. Assembly was very quick and easy with just a Phillips screwdriver to attach the seat base and a hammer (I prefer rubber mallet) to tap in casters and foot ring / gas lift in place etc.The overall quality and fit and finish I think that you will find above average to most anything else that you will find anywhere near this price point. Those of you familiar to seeing the short medical stools that most Dr. office's have, I think will most often be this same brand and seat base- regardless of black or beige..... both colors available here. (only mentioned for you to use for reference). If any of this information changes after I use it further I will return and update the info!

Very happy with this.
Great shop stool. Rolls nicely and is very sturdy. This is used out in my husband’s shop. He needed something tall and easily rolls. This stool does both. Very happy with it. Easy to put together and is sturdy.

tools required for assembly
The first step of the instructions said to remove hardware from the bottom of the seat. This hardware consists of four large philips head screws requiring a number three screwdriver, which I had. However, I discovered that these screws had been installed by some idiot who used a thread sealant, like loc-tite, and they were stuck like a Democrat to a welfare check. If they had to be removed in order to assemble the chair, why use thread sealant?? I had to get a pair of vice-grips to to grab the screwdriver handle in order to get enough torque to turn the screwdriver. Then I discovered that the "TU-001-305 Mechanism" that the four screws above are used to mount the apparatus under the seat which holds the lever to adjust the seat height, is position sensitive. There are two ways to install it, the right way or the wrong way. If you install it the wrong way the back cushion can be installed but you will not be able to adjust the position of the back cushion from front to back. I suspect this is why one reviewer stated that the back cushion could not be adjusted. If this happens to you, remove the four philips head screws, rotate the "TU-001-305" 180 degrees and remount it and you can then adjust the cushion back as intended. I know because it happened to me (I was on a roll).Beyond this, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the stool was quite comfortable and stable. I measured the height of the stool at its' lowest setting to be 28 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, with or without me sitting on it. The height at the highest setting is 34 inches, but when I plop my 205 pound frame on it the height drops to 33 inches, which is not bad at all. Also, other reviewers are correct when they remark that it rolls around easily, especially on a hard floor and you have to be careful that it doesn't slide away from you when getting on. I'm going to use it in my garage on the cement floor, so I may end up removing the wheels if this proves to be a problem.

The Highchair for Adults!
I haven't had it for long, but I have to say I am impressed! You don't often get to use the words "Cheap Furniture" and "Great" without throwing the word "Not" in there somewhere, but this time that is not the case. I think this is a great stool. First off, I am 6'1", with a good amount of leg, and when you raise this stool all the way up, I have to climb up to sit down! Well, maybe not climb, but tip-toes and a bit of a hop is needed. I got this because of a bad back that keeps me from doing anything at counter height for more than a few minutes. I thought that maybe a high enough stool would allow me to sit once in a while as I am working, and that would let me spend a little more time cooking or doing the dishes. This ended up being perfect. The height is good even at the lowest setting, so I would imagine that it would work great for just about any workbench or counter. The other thing that is a big plus is that you don't see as many high stools with wheels. For my kitchen, or on a clean shop floor, one can roll themselves back and forth with ease. As high as it is, I would suggest that you make sure you have a clean, smooth floor to avoid tipping if a wheel catches, but on my kitchen floor (linoleum) it seems that the wheels won't let the chair roll really quickly. The roll with ease, but you can't just give it a shove and roll across the floor, which whether intentional or not makes it a bit safer.I could ramble on and on, but there are enough reviews to fill in the other details. It is a great stool for anyone who needs that extra height, and a comfy seat. I think it is well worth the price, and at the time I purchased it, Amazon Prime got it to me in the usual two days, and you can't beat that!
