How do I close them on my hair? It's kinda open in the ends

Oh, you can't actually close them. If you need pins that close or at least are tighter you should go with old fashioned Bobby Pins rather than these.

U-shaped hair pins are meant for securing buns and updos in place. They don’t hold hair down like a bobby pin. There’s a technique for using U-shaped clips that is difficult to explain without pictures. There are a lot of tutorials online though if you search on how to use a hair pin.
