has anyone lost weight after regularly using this machine?

Yes. I have lost weight using this machine daily. I do 30 minutes in the morning and evening everyday. I also improved my eating habits. I've gone from 188 to 165. My muscle tone has improved in my arms, back, but not so much in my legs. I gained weight after a bad ankle fracture left me idle for over six months. It took about 2 and a half months to get back to my current weight of 165.

how about use for a short person? I am 5'1"

My daughter wanted me to get this for her, She is short as well but I've not really talked to her about this machine since she got it.

Would love some input from somebody with a similar build - 6', 245 lbs. whether sturdy enough for a bulky and tall frame like mine?

i am 6 2 but only 190 lbs but i have really long legs 35 in inseams and i can stretch out completely but you really dont have to,so i think even a taller person would b ok too,as far as the weight thing,its a very sturdy machine and i use it several times a day and its great,i think it will take a heavier person without a problem although it does not recommend it
