my dog is small, 8 or 10 #s with a short tiny face, her nose from tip to eyes is just 2 inches long. she was a rescue dog and gets nervous around new people and tends to nip if they try to pet her. this worked great to keep her under control at our last house party. she was able to be around people but not scare anyone. she can get her tongue out easy to lick people, drink water and even open her mouth enough to sneak in a bit of food on the floor, but not enough to get a bite on someone. if she were a breed that pants, she would be able to do that too. she did not want to keep it on but could not get it off, and she tried quite a bit before giving up. I think it was comfy enough, she didnt seem in any distress. we got the size 1. she has a thin muzzle, not a thick one. you can not adjust the muzzle girth. you can adjust how far back it goes behind the head. the buckle was a bit large for the size but it was also easier to use than those tiny buckles some smaller dog stuff comes with. I was happy to have this for my dog. I might even sew some fleece inside to make it comfy for when we shave her face again. its much better than risking her nipping someone. and she just seemed to be a better behaved dog while this is on. if I can answer any questions on this, just ask me. Product chart shows size 1 for JRTs. The size 1 was too small for my 10 yr JRT. The size 2 fit perfectly on his snout. (Size 1 was more for a mini chihuahua or yorkie). Clips on very well. Love the nylon material. Same as the ones the vet uses.

Real easy for a dog to tear off with his paw not sturdy enough

Unacceptable that the sizing charts are 1" - 1.5" different. With my small dog, that's a huge difference, even though I took the time and trouble to measure her and re-measure to make sure I had the right size.I've had yorkies and a very small yorkie-poo in the past. My current pup is a little larger. I can't even imagine the Size 0 fitting my yorkie; and the straps behind the neck are so short, I can't fathom this would fit any dog. Also, the edges inside the muzzle are rough. Wearing a muzzle is distressing enough, without it being painful.No excuse for the product sizing chart to be different from the description sizing chart. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

We got this because sometimes our rescue pup gets a little antsy and nippy - he had an ear issue and we needed to clean the injury, but he wouldn't let us near it without trying to bite. So we got the muzzle, measuring his snout and following the size guide.Pros: it seems fairly comfortable for a muzzle (at least for the short periods we needed it for, which was only like 3 minutes at a time to clean the ear) and it's easy to use.Cons: it didn't really fit - it was too big (following the size guide) so he can slide his nose out, which doesn't make it useful. But we can't return it or exchange it for another size, which means we're stuck with a muzzle that doesn't really work. I may try to alter it by hand, since I might as well, but I wish it had followed the size guide better.

This is a prefect fit for our Great Dane. He has 3 muzzles for different needs. The first one is a basket muzzle which is hard plastic. The second one is a soft muzzle but all enclosed. This one gives him the opening at the end of the snoot while still keeping him from opening his mouth enough to nip. This is the perfect balance between the other two. It's also the only one that doesn't have a strap up his snoot and between the eyes. I was afraid this one wouldn't work but it works perfectly!

I have a 12 lbs yorkie and he wears a size 0 - perfect fit.I notice some people giving it 1 stars because they're literally putting it on upside down in their pictures and claiming it doesn't fit... Duh. Flip it around lol. Another common 1 star ratings I see are from people who have very short snout dogs. These types of muzzles aren't meant for short snout dogs. Yes this listing says it's for every dog but do your own research and use critical thinking. You have a pug. How could this possibly fit properly when they have the flattest face on earth?

Product seemed comfortable for the dog. It fit well after strap adjusted but that is the issue. When my small terrier grabs with his paw, the strap slides loose. So, we adjusted to fit and my wife sewed it in place so the strap would not loosen. Now, works great. However, we should not have to modify a new product.

This product is amazing. It was so simple to put on and there was little to no resistance from my yorkie. Once on, it is clear that there is no obstruction at all to his breathing and he is even still able to lick his lips. It didn't really try to get it off either. Very light and simple. GREAT price. Very pleased with this

The muzzle fitted well,bought to try to stop my dog from nipping at other dogs .He did not like wearing it but only put it on him to deter him from attacking other dogs.Some improvement in behaviour.Will never be perfect.The picture of chihuahua is exactly like my dog

I received the order quickly with prime. I’m disappointed with the vendors ad indicates product can be returned only to find out after delivery the size I ordered did not fit my puppy and return is not possible.This is false advertising for the product and would request it be changed so this doesn’t happen to someone else.Thanks to Amazon customer service rep in helping me on this matter.The product itself seems to be built well

Good quality, but nothing exceptional - could have bought same from UK supplier much cheaper. I thought as this was dearer it would be better somehow, but no, just coming from US supplier

I don't know about comfort, dog did not tell me. It fits well and prevents him from biting, which is why I bought it.
