9GreenBox - 3 Style Spiral Lucky Bamboo with Hollow Brown Ceramic Vase

I just got my bamboo today. It arrived so so quickly (that's why the shipping costs are so much- they ship it USPS, but it's SUPER quick; they're located in CA, and I got it in three days. I'm in IL) The bamboo arrived healthy, and looked just as tall as the picture shows, and very green. Looks wonderful. I also purchased some Super Green from KL Design & Import; and got that the same day too (highly recommend that to go with Bamboo)Anyway, my only disappointment was that the photo shows a lovely holding piece; looks almost like a dark wood or ceramic piece. The one that it comes with is much lighter colored (look at the user pics) and has a random leaf printing on it. It's not nearly as nice looking, so that is a bummer. I wish it was darker. That's my only complaint. Will update if I have anything to add later on. Still a great bamboo piece, and I recommend seller. It will live in my office cubicle to brighten things up. :)EDIT: April 10th, 2012Just giving an update on this. The bamboo is still healthy, and growing great. My one disappointment was that the spiral piece that came with it has not grown at all since I got it. It's still the same size, and with the same leaves. It's still green and alive, but has not shot up and grown new leaves like the other two straight stalks. I may actually break off the spiral part and let it grow more naturally.

This is a really nice bamboo plant and it was packaged very well so if anyone is having second thoughts about having one of these mailed to them like I was the seller makes sure it has what it needs to survive the trip with care. The plant looks very nice and elegant in my room and considering it has been super cloudy and rainy every since I got it so they only light it is getting is the gloomy cloudy sky light it is doing very well. I'm very happy with this pretty plant and would definitely consider ordering another one, and they are very easy to care for and the plant come with a little card that has some care tips and different ways to plant like either keeping it in water (that's how I have mine) or planting it in dirty (the way my dad has his) Very nice plant.

The vase looks cheap and has some scratches, color is ugly, not like one on the picture. The transparent part of the vase where you actually put bamboo plant is thin plastic, NOT GLASS what I was sure it would be. That was my biggest disappointment about this purchase.About the bamboo plant, the green color doesn't look really healthy but we will see how it will work.My advice to you guys, do not waste your money on this cheap plastic "vase".Go to Ikea and buy nice glass vase and three bamboo plants for $11 all together. I wish I've done it.

I have been wanting a bamboo plant for my house for quite some time, and I decided after reading the reviews, that I would purchase this one from 9GreenBox. I really liked the looks of the picture on here before I purchased, and hoped it would look the same when it arrived at my house. Indeed, it looks even better in person than from the picture! I could not believe how healthy and beautiful the bamboo was. I expected to see a little damage from the shipping, but the bamboo I received looked like one had just pulled it out of a forest where it grows naturally! I don't see one flaw in my plant, therefore I would highly recommend purchasing this product from them!!!The only thing that I feel could be improved, could be that the clear vase in the center that holds the bamboo, could have been glass instead of a thin plastic vase. But, for the price of this product, it really doesn't matter if it is plastic after all!!!

I love bamboo plants. I liked that this was low priced and well made. There is a leaf accent on one side of the vase, which is nice. The plant arrived healthy and has been going good for last two months. Its a little difficult to water if you dont have a mini watering can. It adds a nice touch to my house so I love it.Update: Its almost 7 months now and the plant is doing absoultely wonderful with almost nil light. I got some plant food from http://www.amazon.com/Green-Plant-Food-Case-Bottles/dp/B004490QYI/which is amazing, and I put a drop in like 2 weeks, and water only when the water level comes down, and it does the bamboo really good, lovely green leaves and all.

My little guy arrived in a bit of shock, which is not surprising after being in the dark for a few days in a box. They packed him in a gel water so the roots were moist. He sucked up all the water immediatly, so watch that. I left him in his gel with a mix of new room temperature water for a week. New buds and leaves started to show up and are doing nicely and the roots are not as limp or mushy. I am nursing this little guy back from a bit of trauma, but he arrived in good enough shape to do so and is doing well. He was a little yellow, but is a nice, strong fellow that is looking very nice from immediate tlc and attention.

This item really exceeded my expectations. How many are comfortable buying a plant online? Not me to begin with.. but once I went ahead and ordered it I had my fingers crossed. The plant came out of the box fresh and lively. If people are wondering how the plant will do on it's journey to your home, don't loose hope. The seller actually had the plants roots covered in a gel like substance that keeps the plant alive and well. I believe it serves as food source and to help keep the moisture in it's journey.Once arrived I took it out of box and (the holder is separate from the plant out of the box) and took the rubber band that supports the polyethylene bag that wound around the plant roots and stuck it in the holder. So far it's living well and beautiful. It receives a ton of appreciation form all the visitors. Beautiful item.
