Takes a lot of getting used to, but works if you can stick with it
I know products like this aren't for everyone. After a couple weeks of use, I think my mouth and I are starting to get the hang of this. But I would venture most people will really need to stick with it to make it work. When it's suctioned and secured to my tongue (AND I can get comfortable enough to fall asleep AND I can resist attempting to breath through my technically open mouth AND it managed to stay in), the device appears to deliver on its promise. My spouse has confirmed that I don't snore when it's in, and at the point of the night/morning when my snoring does wake her, she notices it has fallen out.And therein lies the rub. It has taken a lot of effort and training to get to the point where I can not only get this to stay on long enough to fall asleep, but not spend the whole night fighting to keep it in (which, frankly, is more exhausting than my mild sleep apnea on its own). Initial suction is easy enough, but my tongue wants to resist being in it almost immediately. Even with a good suction hold, it's not hard to wriggle out inadvertently. And then if you manage to initially get to sleep with it on, you need to hope it stays in. The first almost entire week, I actually woke up with it in my hand, which means I got cick of it in my sleep and just pulled it out at some point. After that, I got better about not doing that, but then was fighting to get it to stay on on its own without me so show spitting it out. As of last night, it's getting much better, and I managed to share the bed with my spouse and not wake her up at all with my snoring for the first time in years. The funny thing is, it DID still fall out at some point in the early morning. But I am finding that for a period even after a fallout, the tongue has been pulled forward for so long, I believe the back of it and the mouth manage to hold in place for awhile and continue to prevent snoring. So that's a nice bonus.I have a smaller mouth, and a relatively short, wide tongue. So I wear this with the guard part actually under my lips against the front of my teeth, which is an option offered in the instructions (which are superb, by the way).I'm looking forward to hopefully continuing to get more comfortable with this as time goes on. My main worry now is that my toddler will have a harder time giving up her pacifier if she sees me keep sleeping with mine, haha.

OMG!! THIS THING TOTALLY STOPPED MY SNORING!! UPDATE AFTER USING FOR 2 WEEKS:
I have tried everything, including c-pap, etc. NOTHING has worked! This little gizmo actually did the trick! It's a little hard to get used to - it only took me one night - but once you figure out the pressure seal & how much you need, it's very easy. Compared to all the other stuff out there - that doesn't work - this little gadget is genius!Thank You! Thank You!UPDATE AFTER USING FOR 2 WEEKS: It really hurt my tongue at first - like extremely painful. It took me a while to get over that part. Try it every other night for a couple of weeks to give your tongue a chance to feel better. And, I found I can't put my entire tongue in the "hole". I only put the tip of my tongue in - it still works without so much pressure on my tongue. Still, a great product! UPDATE!! After much trial and error, I found a way to keep this in my mouth, all night, all the time!! Disposable paper dust masks! Unlike medical masks, which are painfully tight to wear, dust masks are light weight, and the elastic is loose and won't hurt your ears or face. I cut a 1" hole in the nose piece so I don't feel like I'm suffocating. These masks fit snugly under the chin, and keep the mouth piece snug. You don't have to use any pressure on the mouth piece itself anymore either. Just put it in, and it's there for the night! The manufacturer needs to sell these along with their mouth piece - with this mask added, this little anti-snore mouthpiece is absolutely PERFECT!!

Sleep apnea / Snoring - works great
I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and was prescribed a CPAP. I had an awful time getting use to wearing it. My mother, who has had sleep apnea for many years, told me that she recently discovered the tongue retainer, and really liked it. I bought this one (my mom paid $70 for some name brand one) and has been great. Stopped my snoring completely and works great at keeping my soft palate from closing my throat (sleep apnea). It may not work for all types of sleep apnea, as there are different causes, but definitely worth a shot.

Worth a try
Product works great, it hurt my tongue at first but then I read the directions and it says to put the V side down and that made it so much better and does not hurt my tongue at all.

works good
I began using this for naps. After 3 weeks my tongue got used to it so it was ready for night time sleep. Just be sure to at least rinse it after every use. This makes for better adhesion of the tongue to the device.

Definitely try it
After trying many brands of mouth guards, throat sprays, sleeping positions, etc I finally decided to give this goofy looking thing a try. Very glad I did as it is the only thing that has worked. Occasionally I will wake up noticing it but when you find the right amount of suction it actually is not uncomfortable. No sore jaw or excess drooling like with mouth guards. And so much cheaper than most other options. Highly recommend trying it.

Five Nights - No Good
It fell out every night I used it. I don't like posting negative reviews. Maybe It's different for other folks.

Works, but uncomfortable
I have mixed opinions on this. It DOES keep me from snoring. However, you do look ridiculous and it’s quite hard to get used to-I worry it’s cutting off circulation to my tongue as well. Has it been tested, so as a result I don’t use often-back to sleeping in spare bedroom to keep from waking hubby, but I’m keeping for when we get in situations where I can’t do that...hotels for instance
