I'm not a gemologist (?), so I cannot confirm no deny what it was that I received. I do know one thing, though, and that is that what I received did not look like what was advertised in the photo. The description of the product, raw Hematite Crystal, sound more like what I received (a raw, unpolished, squarish black rock). It definitely was not polished, shiny, or egg shaped like the photo shows. I hope this helps.
