Outstanding! A textbook of the future.
The book is well written in a way that is easy to digest and follow. A fascinating look into the behind the scenes of our world and it's link to other worlds. It really gets the mind working with clear explanations of complex concepts. I read the Kindle version but am going to buy the hardcover version as well. This definitely belongs on a shelf in my library.

A breakthrough read and a great step in the Escher-staircase of psychonaut space exploration
I know some people griped about the font but I loved it. It's not a traditional read by any means and the artwork and presentation only enhance that fact. I also thought the entire presentation fit perfectly within the theme of the book - it's a work of art. So reading a work of art, about a work of art we are imprisoned in, was almost...liberating? Not quite! A real mind-bender that would have made McKenna and Lilly proud. As soon as I got this book I knew I was going to cherish it. The book certainly encapsulates a very special aspect of the zeitgeist of this age. I'm going to give it another read, it gets pretty deep and is chock full of technical jargon. Nothing too heavy though, I studied physics in school so I'm more than happy to read a psychonaut waxing philosophical and scientific. I was thoroughly impressed with the ideas presented in this book. It's another step in the Escher-staircase of psychonaut theory and one of the best I've read. There were some very surreal parts that involved things happening to me that coincided EXTREMELY strangely with what I would then read in the book. Synchronicity doesn't feel like it does it justice - that intense. I felt like the artist of the great game definitely had a grin at my expense while reading this. Truly profound. That's the thing I always found most mystifying about DMT - the inexplicable synchronous events that happen BEFORE the encounter, that only make sense after a breakthrough. A mystifying precursor to the psychedelic experience of this profound chemical. I know that makes sense to the people with the right kind of eyes.

Neuroscience from the Far Future!
I discovered Andrew Gallimore's fascinating work in the wonderful book DMT Dialogues, and then absolutely loved his book Alien Information Theory. It reads like a neuroscience book from the far future, or from a higher dimension of reality. Ever since I met Terence McKenna, and had my first experience in what is now known as "DMT hyperspace" in 1984, I've been obsessed with learning everything that I can about this remarkable state of conscious, and whether they're is actually an independent reality to the beings that I encountered there, and that many people report from their experience with high-dose DMT. For those who have followed Terence and Dennis Mckenna's work, Rick Strassman's research, and the ever-growing internet reports, this book adds a brilliant and unique perspective on how our brains may become receptive to higher dimensional aspects of reality by increasing the brain's DMT levels. The book starts out simple and the complexity slowly builds and builds, until he reveals what he believes the goal of life to be. Much of the book is speculation, of course, but grounded in good science, and Gallimore's research proposal for prolonged DMT states-- "target-controlled intravenous infusion of DMT" are mind-blowing, and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat watching as this astonishing research develops. It appears that we've discovered how to make contact with alien beings, and this appears to be the biggest breakthrough in human history. I found it difficult to put this book down; it stimulated so many amazing ideas in my head. If you're interested in the relationship between DMT and consciousness, the true nature of reality, contact with higher intelligence and alien environments--- I couldn't possibly recommend this incredible book more highly!

Less here than meets the eye.
Graphically this is a beautiful book, if somewhat hard on aged eyes. Nonetheless, beneath the admirable artistry lies a lack of rigor and substance. As the author himself states in the introduction, this is not a work of science nor is it an attempt to convince the reader of the truth of what is presented. Rather, it is a "...vision of reality that has emerged after incubating an idea." In other words it is simply a story, nothing more and nothing less. That is to say it is only one story among the thousands of metaphysical stories that are currently available for humans to try to make sense out of life. Granted, this is a rather sophisticated story compared to most as it utilizes various scientific ideas such as cellular automata, the boundary between ordered and chaotic behavior, and modern neuroscience. But in the end, without proposing falsifiable predictions or providing evidence for the author's theories explaining the DMT experience, it is difficult for this reviewer to become enthusiastic by yet one more religious vision. Personally, I believe that it is indeed possible to craft a rigorous research agenda from the nascent ideas in this book. I deeply hope someone, perhaps Dr. Gallimore himself, lifts these ideas into a testable, empirical framework.

Beyond The Bounds of Physical Existence
Delving into the realms of quantum fluctuations, with discussions of pure energy materializing into forms that include the structures of life, based on rule sets that create the fundamental laws the universe operates by, and most importantly, Dr. Gallimore's well-thought out description and perspective as to what he thinks it is exactly, we are supposed to be doing here in this universe at all: solving a cosmic game, in order to ascend into a new hyperdimensional reality that is patiently waiting for us to discover and use the final molecular keys necessary for such ascension, as our time in physicality ticks away, forever battling the entropy that is destined for our current universal construct. It is time humanity motivates itself to begin looking at entheogenic molecules not only for novel creativity or even advances within mental health, although such are indeed very important applications, but also, as a means to study and perhaps learn how to travel to entirely different universes, so that we may continue to exist, long after we've decided to leave our bones behind.

A good book which could have been great
This was an overall interesting and entertaining read. The author lightly covers topics from information theory, cellular automata and neuroscience to lay out a theory of what possibly reality is at its core. Gallimore takes you by the hand in understanding and constructing upon the required foundation topics. Later down the line, the author tries to show you under his model, how and why DMT shatters our constructed perception of consensus reality and replaces it with a completely foreign one. While I'm pretty happy with the first two thirds of the book, the last part seemed quite a stretch to entertain for a non-fiction book. Likening DMT to an alien technology embedded in our reality, and an intelligence test for evolved beings to communicate and integrate a transdimensional hypergrid is beyond what I'm willing to believe with the arguments given. At this point the author seems to ignore some basic logic premises such as correlation doesn't imply causation. An example of this line of though can be found by suggesting that since foetus have higher levels of DMT in their brain that would explain the "familiarity" experienced during a DMT trip and why the machine elves welcome you back to the DMT world with a celebratory uproar.Apart from the less positive points above, I still recommend the reading. I understand that the path taken near the end of the book might appeal to the more speculative kind of audience. Also, it's good to be able to read deviations from mainstream science which consistently fail to explain even the most basic premises about what is consciousness and reality at its core.Regarding the physical construction of the book (this review is of the hardcover version), it is nicely printed on thick pages. I wish the font was more clear though it adds to the retro feel of the illustrations, resembling the output from old dot matrix printers. The book is filled throughout with interesting and inspiring illustrations of the themes covered. My only gripe is that for a hardcover I'd expect the folios to be sewn together instead of being just glued to a softcover that is attached to the cover. In a nutshell, it's not perfect but good nonetheless. I'm honestly interested in finding out how the author view of the subject matter will change a few years down the line, hopefuly with more DMT scientific experiments under his belt. So, grab a copy and enjoy the ride!

Strange fascinating book
If I'm honest it's hard going at points, but well worth it. I find myself having to reread chapters (and look stuff up) but it makes a fascinating read. The author is a polymath, drawing on subjects as diverse as particle physics, neurology, computer science, chemistry and biology and forming a brilliant and engaging hypothesis
