This was very useful after a severe hand injury! The buttons are large and easy to press. She found the trackball less useful than a trackpad, and mostly used it with her feet. They also sell perepheral switches for cheeks! Very high quality. Bought it impulsively when she was injured and it came very quickly and she was able to get back on the computer right away. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of buying it. This will absolutely change someone's life!

I purchased this for my 86 yr old father who suffers from essential tremor. He was struggling with a regular mouse and was ready to give up on the computer all together. We set up the BigTrack ball and it has made an incredible difference. It stays in place and allows him to move the cursor to where he needs it before pressing one of the buttons (right or left click) at the top. It eliminates the erratic movements and helped Dad regain his confidence in using the computer. I would highly recommend this for anyone who has issues with fine motor skills. My only suggestion to improve, like many other reviewers, would be to make it less childish looking.

My mother is 87yo and has light tremors. Using a regular optical mouse was hard to control. The trackball is much easier for her as are the large right and left mouse buttons. It's slower to use than a standard mouse but she's not fast on the computer anyway so accuracy and reduced frustration win out! Well worth it! Durability I put 4 stars. We haven't had it that long but it seems well built not cheap.
