It’s a wonderful book to bring awareness
It’s a wonderful book to bring awareness and hope to children. The family life of a foster child and their emotions are important for readers to understand. Children from stable families cannot even understand the behaviors in school classroom settings or even at Parks as these children’s brain pathways in DNA has been changed by the trauma effect from your past. Looks like these are wonderful way to not only Bring empathy but action to a parent who may read this and say “I can do this to “or healing to a child who now doesn’t feel alone in their situation. I have written a book as well “Freddy The Foster Frog “that attempts to do the exact same thing.

Loved it! Worth adding to your library!
I love the way this book explains the feelings and process of child welfare and the foster system for kids. I’m sure children who can relate will be able to explore feelings and thoughts in a non-threatening way.

I like this book
I like this book, I've read it with some of my clients. Some can identify w/the characters and some cannot. Overall it is a cute book for kids who are in placement, it can help them to start talking about their feelings.

Overly complicated story
Didn’t like the story. Too many characters and too many situations. Far too complex and inappropriate for my foster child. Has gone in the bin after showing it to my social worker.

Not a book I could recommend
I am a social worker and bought this book to use with children in foster care. Sadly the language in the book isn't helpful, and it seemed that the emphasis on "real family" was very prevalent and that foster families are not OK. I sent this book back as it was not something I would ever share with a child.
