If you are hoping to use this as your go to lighter, don't. The space for lighting things is very small, I was able to light a candle, but just barely. Any kind of enclosure, or short wick, quickly makes the angle impossible.When lighting a propane stove with this lighter I had to get so close to the burner that I singed some hairs.In most scenarios, I would suggest lighting something else on fire first, like a small piece of kindling/wood, and then using that to light your fire/burner/etc...
