Has anybody done a comparison between Astra stainless and platinum blades?

There is a razor store in AZ with a famous YT channel and website. They rate all DE blades. The Astra Stainless (blue pack) are slightly more mild than the Astra Platinum (greenish pack). I have used both, though neither are my favorite. I actually prefer the blues coupled with a more aggressive safety razor, but most people prefer the greens coupled with a mild-to-medium aggressive razor.

Do these have gum spots inside wrappers like older (green pack) astras used to? hate cleaning off gum. tia.

They stopped putting the glue on both Astra SS and Astra SP. They also changed what they print on the blades, if you check the reviews people claim they got fakes but they are just seeing the difference between old and new blades.

Are these for coarse hair? I got "trainer blades" In my Chieftain kit, and they tug on my hair.

These would work for course hair but they sell sample kits that come with several different brands to help you find out which is best for you.

Are these blades pure stainless steel or are there other metals in them?

It is what it says it says, stainless steel blades. "Stainless steel" refers to a mixture of elements anyways. The "stainless" part of the name referring to a certain varied percentage of chromium.
