Long time favorite
Works pretty well. Cover gray root pretty well but I switch between this and the Excellence by Clairol every sick weeks because it covers better and I am known mostly gray. If youโre not mostly gray you will love using just this. I Love the added highlights. Seems like the box doesnโt go as far as it used to. If youโre just doing roots one box will work. If you want to do all your hair youโll need 2 boxes. If your hair is longer than your shoulders, you may need 3 boxes.

Great haircoloring
Very nice home hair color. It goes on just like any other boxed haircoloring product. Not difficult at all. Rinses out easily. The color resists fading much more than most. Very pleased with this product and happy to recommend.

Been using this same color for a long time. Doesnโt burn and very affordable.

Very natural shade of brown.
I bought this to cover up some grays and it did a good job, however I have grays popping up everywhere and it's that's not the product's fault at all. I feel like I have to do another treatment sooner than 3 weeks. I wish I didn't have too but this shade of brown is beautiful. It's very natural looking for me.

Leaves hair greasy but great color and shine
good product. Love the shimmer, love the color. It seems to over condition because hair feels greasy afterward.

A pregnant perspective on Feria French Roast #45
So my hair has been its natural color for years now, which is a dark ash brown. I have been wanting a change, but nothing drastic, just something to add some vibrancy. I have a few stray grays on a regular basis, but nothing drastic. I looked online at different brands and colors, and decided I liked this shade a lot. Feria had great reviews, overall, so I felt good about the brand, too. My only reservation was the fact that I'm 20 weeks pregnant. My books all told me it's probably safe, and since this isn't something I do often, I wasn't too hung up on that. But I was hung up on the question - will this wreak havoc on my pregnancy-hormone-saturated hair?! I couldn't find many helpful reviews from pregnant women on home coloring, so I wanted to leave my experience for others. I decided to boldly take my chances because the shade isn't very far off from my natural shade. Also, my hair isn't visibly doing anything different at this stage of my pregnancy than non-prego, so my hope was that it would take the same way it normally would. And it did! So I wanted to share that - aside from the review of the hair color itself, it seems to me that if hormones aren't affecting your hair's texture, thickness, dryness/oiliness, etc, then maybe you're safe to assume that it will take as it normally would. At least my experience backs that up. My roots are a tiny bit more coppery than I would like, but in a week or two, my dark roots will kick in and tame them. The warmer shade brings out my warmer skin tones, which I didn't even know were there. I'm really happy with the results. My hair looks less dull and more polished - with no extra effort! So I'm glad I took the gamble, and will very likely keep up with this shade every couple months.
