SerfasDual Density Men's Bicycle Saddle

This was one of the best saddles I've had regarding comfort and fit. But the outside cover needs a higher quality of material. Not up to standards of others. Easily torn, making it useless.

This is my third Serfas Saddle. They usually last about 20,000 miles. I've tried numerous other saddles and saddle covers, I stick with this one because it's comfortable. It weighs a pound, which is crazy among elite riders. I'd say I'm in the 5%, not the 1% and it's my butt. I hope Serfas continues to offer this saddle for years to come.Don't get enamored by "gel". Just like foam, it compresses once and stays compressed until you remove your butt. Nevertheless, this is the best saddle I've found in the last dozen years.

Overall this has been a comfortable and good quality saddle. Still in good shape after 2 years. Recently I've been riding much further. After 1.5 hours the sides begin to sag down, leaving you resting on your 'gooch' by the 2 hour mark. Too bad, since it is totally fine for shorter more intense routes. I'm only 155 lbs. so it just appears to be the plastic heating and getting fatigued after a certain number of impacts?

Much more comfortable than the stock seat on my mountain bike. (Trek X-caliber 8) We rode 2 hours this morning and NO PAIN! (With the old factory seat I could only last about 1 hour and it would take at least 2 days before I wanted to ride again) With this seat, I'm ready to go again this afternoon. I love this saddle. Please do yourself a favor - if your bike is uncomfortable, try this seat before you stop riding or sell you bike. This was the best upgrade I've ever put on a bike.

This seat keeps you in place and does not leave you with a sore backside. Readjustment during ride is easy and secure compared to using a gel sear cover that moves around and does not stay secure. I'm willing to sacrifice a "cool" looking seat for comfort. This seat is very comfortable and looks great. Not at all like those bulky seats your grandparents would use. As good as it looks, the comfort is what's really key. I installed it before my first ride of the summer; a ride on a pretty vigorous trail. Three hours later and it was all good. No numbness in the undercarriage or backside. Highly recommended.

Great seat. The pain doesn't disappear but it is much better than the stock seat that came with my Trek. It seems to get better with each ride (or maybe I just getting used to the ache). Anyway, I am happy with this seat and would purchase again.
