Great purchase.
Great purchase. Just make sure you peel only the red 3M tape off and not the thick sticky stuff right underneath it. I did that with one of letters but it still stuck on there good.

Poor craftsmanship
Poor craftsmanship. Letters fit great and from a distance looks good. When I unpackaged the letters, it appeared the letters were recently painted (oversprayed) and then immediately packaged. There was paint residue on the cardboard and also the letters were dull in spots due to the styrofoam wrapping. The pattern of the wrapping adhered to the letters. The overspray made it difficult to pull the backing off as the “red” peelable backing adhered to both the paint and the back of the letter. In 5 of the 6 letters, the backing pulled away from the letter due to the overspray. Maybe this batch was a fluke, but I’m not sure I’d order again. I have pictures to provide.

Tacoma Tailgate Letters
These letters make a huge difference in the look of my truck. I have an all black 2017 Tacoma (black trim, hitch cover, everything) but wanted one single "pop" item. This was it and looks awesome. I get lots of comments on it. Was super easy to install and fit precisely. The extra money for the domed effect was totally worth it. I have not input on how easy to remove...I don't plan to!

Seems like a quality product.
The letters were very easy to install. Only took about 10 minutes which included wiping the surface with alcohol pads (included). Leveling and centering was quick because the bubble holds its shape. I like the look and ease of installation with bubble decals vs flat decals.

Extremely high quality.
Pros. Extremely high quality with raised letters, flawless black gloss finish, no nicks or scratches, strong adhesive tape on back of letters. Thank you for the two alcohol pads to prep the paint. I installed letters in MI in Dec by heating the tailgate surface for 20 minutes to room temperature in a non heated garage and brought the letters from inside the house one at a time to install. I then waxed them in to prevent any moisture from getting to the back of letters for 48 hours. They are now part of the truck and look way factory. Highly recommend.Cons. Weak instructions.

No problems. Super easy to do. Looks great.
Letters are perfect size and line up perfectly into the depression. Kit includes several alcohol wipes, so no excuse to clean it properly which is mandatory if you want these to adhere as they should. These are a good and cheap way to add some black accents to my barcelona red TRD 4x4.

Small but Big Improvement!
I put the carbon black letters on my white Tacoma's tailgate, and it's amazing at how such a small detail change makes such a big improvement. The color and shape of these letters look great on the truck and are easy to install, but you must be careful and not get in a hurry to ensure they're put in correctly.

Easy & Affordable Modification
These inserts really make the Tacoma tailgate pop. My only issue, a minor one, is that the red backing tape is not easy to remove.
