The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Gold Box Edition - Kickstarter Exclusive

***JULY 18 2019 UPDATE*** I ordered another set to gift to a friend for his birthday and wanted to confirm I received a GOLD box set successfully. I saw some people said there were black boxes being sent out temporarily, which sucks, though looks like that got fixed now from what I can tell and isn’t an issue anymore. The game itself has held up. Surprisingly this thing has so much replay value due to all the different builds and decisions you can go each game. I’ve played with the gold box expansion roughly every week and it hasn’t lost its edge one bit. So glad I got mine, couldn’t recommend it more. ***ORIGINAL REVIEW*** Okay guys… I’ll be honest I was really on the fence of getting this or not, especially as it’s more expensive for 69 more cards. I played the original for about a month before making the leap to the expansion. I’ve played 16 games on the expansion now and…. There is simply no comparison. I am SO glad I bit the bullet and did it. The cards in the expansion completely change the game, especially the loot and monster cards. I feel like they specifically made the Kickstarter expansion’s cards some of the most unique ones there. Some of my favorites are: Credit Card (free shop item loot card!!) Jera (double your loot cards) Joker (steal any card you want from a player’s hand) Two of diamonds (double the number of coins you have) In addition to some of the new characters: The Keeper (gain 1-6 cents each turn) Apollyon (trash a monster / shop item) And some of my favorite items: Guppy’s tail (get an extra loot card when you turn starts + trash one later) Mom’s knife!! (+1 damage and dmg other monsters when rolling 6) 9 Volt (recharges two items at the end of your turn). Not to mention the other monsters like Polycephalus, Hush, Fistula, and Steven. These just completely change the way the game is played, I can’t imagine ever playing again without it, it was undoubtedly worth the purchase and I’d do it again any day. If you can afford it, I’d highly recommend making the leap.

Fan of the video game, I couldn't pass on the card game version. And I'm not disappointed! The game mechanics are simple, yet quite sturdy. And the big amount of item cards, treasures and monsters make for the replay value. Where the creators really nailed it is that they reproduced the possibility to be locked down by powerful monsters or to trash everything with an overpowered build - just like the video game! Of course, that's more a "party game" than a game you'll play game after game, but that also is the essence of Isaac The videogame, so that's perfectly fine.

Exactly what we wanted. Really nicely packaged and organized. Super fun to play with!! Would highly recommend. Never know what the expect and could either be a quick 30 minute game or 8 hour game! (All depending on how one plays)

Has everything it said it would have, including the Kickstarter-exclusive expansion. With the large amount of cards and small rule book, you'll have to resort to the internet (Reddit) to figure out certain card interactions. Otherwise, it's a fun game.

This game is amazing. I play with my friends often and we argue a lot about what cards are allowed to do so there is a lot of confusion but that adds to the fun of the game.

So i ordered this and it came in the gold box but i did not recieve any of the exclusive extra cards that was supposed to come with it. It was the base game plus the stickers and the pin.

Amazing game, love it to death though it does make me want to pull my hair out.

Really fun to play with 3 people or more repeatedly just to see the rage and bs that happens
