I never thought that fingernail clippers could be so different than the "regular" ones I've been using my whole life... these are amazingly sharp, precisely engineered or something... all I know is that the cut fingernails do not shoot off in a random direction and there is no loud snapping noise. These actually cut the fingernail, and the cut nail falls directly downwards (into my garbage can). I am very pleased with these clippers... very surprised, really.
