Great shorts but with two issues.
I got the 7" inseam and they are great. Compares very favorably to other "name brand" and other new-to-the-market shorts that cost 2-3 times more advertised all over social media. Used these while training for a triathlon (100miles of running a month). One issue is the cell phone pocket on the internal compression shorts.. Its on the front of your leg which seems like a odd place to have it and it barely fits by iPhone 8. If your phone is larger than my iPhone 8, IT WILL NOT FIT. The other thing is the back top center "pocket" I would not call it a pocket at all in fact. There is no closure or zipper. It is more like an open envelope. I would not place a car key, money or ID in this "pocket" as I would have no faith they stay in there. Really dont feel interested in testing the theory If you are buying these shorts because of either of these two "features" (the cell phone pocket on the inner compression shorts) or the back top center "pocket", I would move on to something else. Aside from these two issues which were not particularly important to me anyway, great shorts especially for the price.

Great value and solid construction
If you are a compulsive runner like me, you probably have a drawer full of barely used race shirts and only a handful of useable shorts. Good 2 in 1 running shorts are expensive and the liners don’t last as long as we’d like. I usually buy UA or Nike shorts, but decided to give these a try as good running short options are limited. I was pleasantly surprised once they arrived. The fabric felt a bit heavy, but the construction was solid. They fit as roomy as Under Armor shorts when Nike runs smaller in my experience. The GU straps and extra pockets are a nice touch and so far they have held up well to hard use. I plan to buy more in the future.

I would buy this over Nike challenger
I was looking for a running shorts and was hoping to find a 2-1 type. This short fit just right for me and it light with 2.5 pockets and a phone X (however, you have to take your out of your case since it super snug.) there is a small side pocket with zipper for i guess keys and a energy bar holder in the back but not sure how the two band in the back would hold it in.Please Peak Velocity; make the phone holder pocket 20% bigger. It would be an awesome running short if you do.

Great fit, technical training shorts with advanced features
Peak velocity is an amazon private brand. As I hadn’t tried out the apparel in retail outlets I was apprehensive about the overall fit and quality. I shouldn’t have worked. The shorts were very high quality, almost technical features like safe, deep side pockets, inner pockets, inner thigh support and all. The overall feel is very good too. I go out for long runs in this short and don’t feel chaffed. If I were to nitpick, I would ask for better waist draw strings / lace. They aren’t bad but could be better.

Great deal on great running shorts!
These shorts have many of the features of much higher priced brands. Rarely do you see regular pockets, zipper pocket, hidden pocket on the inner compression layer as well as a semi-functional rear pocket. That's really my only complaint with them, the rear pocket seems to be ok with longer items, but I'm not really sure what it's main purpose is. That said, the other features more than make up for it.

Pretty good...
I ordered these shorts because they have a full compression liner and professed to have a pocket that would fit a cell phone.Once they arrived and I tried them on I found that they fit perfectly, look great, are quite comfortable, and have plenty of pockets. The interior compression layer seems pretty legit.However.I'm knocking off two stars because the "phone" pocket is ridiculously small. I haven't had a phone that small since about 2002. Maybe you could get an i-pod in there? But who has an i-pod anymore...Anyway, I'm going to keep these. I ran 3 miles in them as a test and they performed great. Very comfortable. I'll just have to keep searching for running shorts that will actually hold a phone.

Great running shorts
I have been running for years and these shorts have been so far great. These shorts have compression tights inside, some people do not like that but it help me as it prevents the thighs from rubbing each other.Very good material and it has been holding well so far.The one I got in black is a little off color, I wish it were darker so it would combine easier with my running T-shirts.The side pockets are Ok but I do not use them, hard to run with something there. There is a small pocket for the phone but unless you have a small size like iPhone 5S or something like that, it will not fit well. I put my driver’s license and a credit card there. That is something that can be fix on the next generation!Get your next size up if you have muscular thighs...

Great quality for a great price…
I happened to get this pair on the same day I received a pair of Lulu Lemon shorts as a gift. The LL shorts were $65 compared to $20 for Peak Velocity and the shorts are very similarly made. As for longevity, time will tell, but these look to be well made and are very comfortable. I've used them running, stair climbing, elliptical, weight lifting, and spinning and have no complaints.
