(Update): After a brief email exchange the company offered a new replacement sent to honor their 18 month satisfaction guarantee. Very happy about it. Upped my review to 5 stars. I really liked this product. Other than the funky camera window it looked pretty good and worked great. Kept my phone alive through the day. I bought this in may of 2019, and now, July of 2020, for some reason the battery swelled up! I hooked it up to charge overnight and I wake up to two dead batteries!!! (Phone and Case). The case won't charge, the LEDs don't even light up when I press the button. It took me a while to see that the battery pack had bulged out! This thing is dead... My phone is fine, it just eats its battery, even when idle (which Is why I needed this case!). I am attempting to contact the seller, as they apparently have an 18 month satisfaction guarantee. We will see how that goes.

I've bought this product twice now. Primary because the battery on my phone itself is starting to show its age. The case provides decent fall protection, I only had to replace it once when my charger broke of inside the cases port. It is worth noting you cannot wirelessly charge the phone while the case is on. The cases battery charges my phone relatively fast about 50% in 10-15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this if you use your phone in an environment where you don't have access to a charger or if you don't plan on upgrading your phone for a while and are concerned that the built in battery will start degrading.

Initial Review (10/30/2019): I have had this case plugged in and charging for 14 hours and the 4th LED on the charge level indicator just recently started flashing. I had read other reviews that claimed 24 hours to recharge and thought that was crazy, but now it seems like they were correct. The S7 comes with a 3,000mAh battery and recharges in about 4 hours with the standard charger, so I am pretty surprised that a 5,000mAh battery is taking so long to charge. I have not had a chance to use this case to charge my phone yet. The case itself is not as bulky as I thought it would be. My wife has one of those cases that holds your credit cards, and this case is the same thickness. It can still fit in a pocket just fine. It is a little slick despite having a rubber coating. We'll see how that goes. Initially it was difficult for me to separate the two halves of the case to insert my phone, but after playing with it for a while it has loosened up. I like that it came with a headphone jack extension and an additional charging cable. With the phone inserted all of the buttons on the case appear to work properly and with minimal effort. Overall I will start with 4 stars because of the very slow charging speed. I bought this case to use for long trips from home because it seemed more convenient than attaching a small power bank to charge the phone, but I can definitely see how the long recharge time will be a show-stopper for some buyers. Updated Review (11/05/2019): I used the case for the first time today. I subjected my phone to much heavier than normal use. Cranked the brightness up all the way, social media, email, web browsing, streaming Netflix if I wasn't using the phone, just to see how long the case battery would last. It went a full 9 full hours! This is incredible. 9 hours like that is probably at least 12 hours of regular use. Combined with the phone's own battery it is probably good for 16-18 hours. A lot longer than I'd expect to go without access to a charger. Other reviews have mentioned case battery life decreasing noticeably over time. I'll test again in a few months and post an update! Updated Review (11/09/2019): I decided to use the case for a trip to the city, which subjected it to average/slightly heavier than average use. I unplugged at 8AM, turned on the case, and went about my day. I arrived back home 16 hours later having used the entire case battery and 25% of the phone battery. So I still had 75% battery left on the phone. Based on this test it seems my previous estimate was low. Case + phone under these conditions will probably be good for 20 hours of use!

The battery backup case works very well and I think that has to function a little bit better or the side buttons on the case that activate the buttons on the phone they're a little stiff but hopefully after a little bit of use they will loosen up a bit. Great product. There are little round Nubs inside the back of the case, I dropped my phone a few times and the case is supposed to protect it but these little Nubs actually damaged my phone cracked the glass all in the back of it and it shows where it happened on each of the Nubs is the spot. UPDATE BATTERY BACK UP DIED IN AUG 2024, shows full charge but when i turn it on it is dead. Suppose to have 18 month warranty still no response from seller.

This is the second purchase of this brand. All batteries eventually lose their re-charging capabilities, but this model has lasted longer than others I have purchased. The battery performs as advertised. It does a good job of re-charging. If you work where there isn't a place to plug in, this will ease the potential of your phone's battery running out, the recharge is just a push button away.

This is a good quality battery extender! It's a nice cover and a little bulky but very worth having the extra power to last you all day easily!

It makes the phone really bulky. Gets really hot while charging itself or charging the phone. When connected to the power source, the battery pack charges first and trickles some charge to the phone. Also, seems like when the battery pack charges the phone and as such is partially empty, it leaches the power back from the phone battery and the phone runs dry much faster. Due to excessive heat produced while being changed or charging the phone, after a few weeks, the paint on the back has started to peel. Unfortunately, I did not realize the heat was more than just charging , it killed some sort of heat thermostat in the phone and the antenna. So now the phone works only on wifi and the SIM card cannot log onto the cellular network. Fortunately, Samsung is repairing the phone and replacing the battery for free during these COVID times for first responders. So all is not lost. But would NOT buy this battery pack. Just get the battery replaced.

Just recived the battery case this week. It is slimmer than I anticipated, and feels good in my hand -not too heavy which is nice because I have arthritis. Seems to be a good product.
