Love it!!
I'm sure the cable works fine for the radio it was designed for. I was told that this would work on a Pioneer AVIC-X940BT. I put the radio in and tried the cable and there was no sound. I talked to the people I purchased the radio from and also to Pioneer and was told that this cable would work for this radio. I was sent another radio, and had to tear the dash apart again, actually a total of 3 times! Finally, I got a tech a Crutchfield that knew what he was talking about and said that the cable was the problem, not the radio. The cable for this radio is supposed to be a CD-IU51V!!!!! It has to have the "V" on the end or it won't work, and he was right. So they sent me the right cable, and I have this one that I will probably never find a use for, but with the cost of shipping, I would eat up the money I paid for it, so I will keep it and put it with my other cables that I don't use. It was not the fault of Amazon for this screw up, it was Crutchfield. So, make sure that anything you buy online is exactly what you WANT and NEED for your purpose. Because the freight eats you up if you have to send back and get another. Enough said! I should practice what I preach!

Looks great...works great...over priced for functionality.
Works great! However, it is quite expensive. After my purchase I tried using one of the cheap iPod cables (you can get for just a few dollars) to connect my iPod Touch 32G or my iPod Classic 80G to the Pioneer 9400BH and the super cheap connector worked just as well. My recommendation...save the money, get a generic brand, and take your significant other out to dinner with the money you saved. If you like the black heavy-duty look though...this is the one. If you're just going hide it in your glove box save your money and get a cheapo.

works great
Works great with the Pioneer stereo I bought for my wife. The only negative would be having a wire that is sticks out from the stereo and no real place to put it so that it looks good. Minor detail for us since being able to play the ipod thru the car speakers and having the the receiver control the ipod was the most important thing.

It's a 30 pin iPhone/iPod cable...
...There's really nothing special about it. Its a little "heavier duty" than a standard cable. I bought it because the instructions for my pioneer radio called for it. However it appears any 30 pin cable would have worked. A bit pricey for what it is, but I figured better safe than sorry. Would have given it 5 stars, but took one away for price, and one away because it did not include the dust cover shown in the picture. The dust cover is not a big deal but I'm a stickler for getting what is promised.

Genuine Pioneer cable, works as it's supposed to
I use this with my iPod classic and a Pioneer AVH-2440NEX head unit, the manual for which specifies this part for iPod classics. It looks like the picture, and it works as expected: my head unit recognizes the iPod and acts as an interface for it..

Works Perfect
Just put in a Pioneer DEH-80PRS and couldn't find my iPod cable. This one came very quick (gotta love Prime) and works flawlessly. Really like the attached cover as well.

No video with IPAD 2
well it works like the regular IPAD 2 cable. Just sound and no video. Consider this a spare cable if you get it.

Works
Does the job and that is what I bought it for. Unfortunately I got the Iphone 5 so also had to buy the adapter

Did not work, price was too good to be true
Ordered two of these as they were much cheaper than any other interface cable on Amazon, but it was to good to be true. Neither worked, "usb device error" when plugged into two different ipods. Contacted the seller for help, but they didn't provide any, as it was sold by Amazon.
