The one I got had built in memory with no removable face, nor did it have motion detection mode. This is an earlier model I believe and not the one advertised.

this item is amazing.. You plug it into the wall like any other USB charger. It will charge your phone and there is no way to know it is a camera. It looks just like a regular charger. Then plug it into the computer with the cable it came with and open the folder and click on the image and there is the recording. I was so amazed. It is so how simple it is. I love it.
