Helped me in a pickle, would recomment for it purposes, edited 10/11/17
I can only review my experience with the drive reader I needed for an impending crash situation. I've not used it for card reading and don't expect to for some time. My picture taking days are virtually nil. I suspect it would work fine but remains a bit bulky to remain on my desktop for it's occasional. My previous PC had the card reader incorporated. So, to summarize, should you need to have the ability to access a standard PC hard drive, it performs well.Amended 10/11/17While my initial impression was favorable, I've found a problem which I think needs to be shared. I need this initially for a dying hard drive. This came with all the memory card slots one could need. Unfortunately, the C/F card does not allow for proper guidance to correctly line up the 20/25 pins required. Consequently I had to return this item due to this problem. It is my opinion that this needs to be corrected in order to make this a viable answer to those needing this particular function

USB 3.0 HDD Issues in Windows 10 solved.
I red the product description, but I don't understand what for is this product. when I ordered this product, I thought that I can install 2 HDD (1- 3.5" and 1 2.5".). I was just needing a USB 2.0 dock for my 3.5" USB 3.0 HDD, because my Windows 64-bit PC, don't detect my USB 3.0 HDD with USB 3.0 docking station. This product has 2 slots, one of them is for 3.5 HDD, the other one is a female connection, I don't know what for it is, luckily my HDD USB 3.0 works, without any problem.

Amazing versatility at this price.
I used this to reclaim the personal data from a friend's computer that the battery on the motherboard had died and could not boot. I removed the drive and copied the data to a thumb drive. The company sent me an email containing a pdf file of the most resent manual and this shows that they care for their customers. The housing is a bit on the flimsy side but at this price point one cannot expect a heavy duty unit. The USB connection in the unit is a bit loose but all other connections appear fine and of good quality. The unit performed flawlessly and was immediately recognized by my laptop and drivers quickly installed and access to the drive when perfectly. This single unit will accept both IDE and SATA drives as well as every type of memory card and offers two USB ports as well. I believe this will be a most useful tool and an exceptional value. The loose USB connection in the unit was the reason I did not give it the fifth star. If issues arise in time I will update this review.

Paperweight
It worked fine for about an hour with two drives and then stopped communicating with my PC altogether. At first I thought it was the older drives I was trying to review, but after trying out some newer drives (ones already installed and running on my computer) I discovered that i absolutely would not read from any of the hard drive bays anymore. At the time of writing this review it will recognize USB and cards, but it is very easy for the cards to slip underneath the card reader slots and become lost in the casing. I had to pry open one side to retrieve my micro sd card. Terrible design.

It works with all my drives but disconnects constantly
I bought this to get a bunch of old drives both SATA and IDE data from them. This little box did the trick, but the issue started once I kept the unit connected. The USB is constantly coming out from the unit and disconnects and reconnects randomly. Sometimes it will do it constantly and other times it can go a few days before it starts acting up, but it will eventually start giving issues. The plug is in as far as it will go, but the wire is extremely loose anyway. The product itself did what I needed it for at least, but it sucks that the connector is so poor that it cannot stay consistant like a hard drive needs.

Cheaply Made - Not Secure
I didn't expect much from a cheaply-made China manufactured docking station and was not disappointed. I was able to accomplish a drive transfer but 3.5" drives fit loosely in the station. I had to wedge a plastic spoon handle in the opening to keep the drive snug in the station. The overall build is cheap plastic, and not much weight to to it so it can tip easily. The card readers and USB ports in front are nice, but the power switch for the station is hard to engage. For the money, it worked, and that's about it.

Incredible variation and stability
One of the best docking stations out there, not in terms of speed, but in variation. The speed is nothing outstanding, but the amount of ports this thing has is incredible. I've only used it once so far, but the fact this can so easily transfer data from IDE drives is amazing. I recommend it to anyone who is in a repair/tech company. Although it uses USB 2.0, it's still great. USB 3.0 wouldn't matter to much for it though since it's supposed to appeal to older hardware anyways.

It works very well and I'm happy with it except I didn't pay attention to all ...
So far, It works very well and I'm happy with it except I didn't pay attention to all the specs and found that the rear slot was for the old IDE HDD. I had assumed both slots were SATA but I can use it as is.
