Ninja Grappling Hook

Look gang - when I saw this grabbling hook, I assumed it would be small thing - definitely not as durable as one would assume when looking on the Ad photos. But trust me - this baby is much, much larger than the photos depict, along with the rope.Now to be honest, I'm not using this device to hoist myself up on a roof. I don't know if the nylon rope could handle a person (I know the hook can - it's that much larger). I'm using it to throw into huge piles of branches that I want to move back into the woods in my backyard. This hook will do just fine, allowing me to throw the hook into the huge piles of these branches, and then I can just pull them back into the woods using the rope. So if you're thinking about literally doing your "Ninja" routine with this, I don't know if the rope would hold your weight (unless you're very light).The reason I'm assigning it 5 stars is because:1. For what you're paying for it, it's an awesome device.2. It's much larger and more durable than the photos imply.3. It arrived quickly after I ordered it. Actually, I ordered 2 of them.

Although the hooks and main shaft are very substantial, the mounting shaft for the hooks bends easily when the hook is thrown and lands on the ground if you miss what you are trying to hook. In my case, I was trying to hook a low hanging dead tree branch and misjudged the first throw. Because of the weight of the hooks, the hook landed top down on the ground which for me is hard clay. The mounting shaft was bent at close to a 45 degree angle. On softer ground, the result may not be the same, but for me it was a disappointing result and also distorted the hooks' perpendicular orientation relative to each other and the main shaft.

I got the hook to latch on broken limbs in some Trees I have. It worked great for what I wanted. It hooked on the limbs so I could remove them, without climbing the trees.

Pretty well made. Added extra bolts to top so it didn't flop around.
