Meowy Janes Matatabi Chew Sticks - An All Natural Silvervine Cat Toy and Cat Treat - Catnip Alternative

Bought these hoping they'd help with dental health but our kitties totally ignored them ... for like 2 months. And then one day I heard a rattling, and I was like "what is she playing with, a pencil or sth?!" I had forgotten about these sticks honestly so I was very surprised to see kitty playing with one of these so vigorously. Both kitties love them now, months later. They race around playing with them but also actually do hold them in their paws and chew on them. See my pic, you can see they chewed all the "bark" off them or whatever. By and by they disappear -- I have no idea where they go -- so I get a new one out of the package for them to destroy and they love it. My one criticism is they seem a bit expensive. I do recommend them though, but give them time for kitties to get interested! It might take months like it did for me.

My cat just turned 1 and I bought these for her as a birthday treat. She was highly intrigued, almost like it had a catnip scent to it, but all she wanted to do was rub her face on them and kept licking her lips. She didn’t take to chewing. She lost interest after 20 mins or so and ignored them going forward. Guess it was a flop.

My cat started attacking the package before I opened it. She went through 3 in a week. She's teething and this made her breath smell fresh. Spoiled kitty likes it to be held for her as she chews on it. As for the flavor - - I didn't try them myself and I cannot understand my cat's words. Wished they cost less, but they seem to go a long way. No complaints here.

I got these cause I saw a video about them being more effective than catnap so I wanted to try them out, unfortunately my cat didn’t seem too interested and I was a little disappointed. Though I suppose that really depends on the type of cat, overall I still wasn’t disappointed with my purchase to at least try them out

I only gave this product one star because my cat has zero interest. It's probably a fine product, for OTHER peoples felines. I was excited when I read the description as an alternative to catnip that was good for keeping the cat occupied with play, biting and overall enjoyment. I received the item, scraped the bark as instructed off of a stick. My cat turned his nose up at it. He will not play with it, bite it, nothing. He has zero interest in these sticks. I even tried to engage him in play with it. NOTHING. $10 is a lot to spend on a cat treat, but since it was also a 'play' item that he could bat and bite, I decided to give it a try. Since it has been opened, I'm stuck with a pack of catnip alternative sticks that my cat will not ever use. I didn't see anything with a smaller quantity of silvervine to try before buying to see if my cat would even be interested in it versus the catnip he loves.

I saw these from a TikTok and thought I’d give them a try since my cat typically is uninterested in catnip and she ended up loving these!! My cat likes to chew on them and they do a good job cleaning her teeth while also not having much of a bad smell. The only thing I don’t like is that the bark often flakes off which leaves a mess, but it’s not too hard to clean up. I definitely recommend this product to any cat owners, but just make sure you are watching over your pet while they play with them! :)

I got these for my cats because they look like they’d be great for tarter control and tasty but my cats turned their noses up on them. One ate it after me playing with him with it and he ate it but after that none of them were interested in the least. I ended up giving one to the squirrel and another to a possum that comes by nightly. I’m not sure if it’s the taste they don’t like or the shape is weird. They’ll eat small treats but not a stick. This is more conducive for a dog as they like to bite on sticks, whereas cats noy so much.

These turned out to be great fun for my two males cats. It's never heard of this product before and bumped into it while looking for valerian root for my cats (it makes them wild). The sticks don't make them as excited as the v.root does, but they still like to play and chew on them. I also sometimes take the sticks and stick them in my valerian root powder - they just love it! I was especially pleased because catnip unfortunately had no effectv on my 2 cats. Every cat is different, and they definitely don't all like the same things. This was a fun experiment, and I'm really glad I tried. This purchase was worth it for me to know about another catnip alternative.

Quality silvervine, hot held up in customs for 10 days due to no paperwork being with it but I got it sorted in the end
