Heroes of the Bible Devotional: 90 Devotions to Help You Become a Hero of God!

I’m not as happy with this devotional as I was with “Indescribable” by Louis giglio. The other devotionals we’ve read were more mature for my children: age 8 and 11.Perhaps this book is PERFECT, however, for slightly younger kids- age 5-7.The design and concepts are super cool! But it is less mature than I had hoped. I wish the author had shared the flaws of these heros or showed more of their human side and how we can relate to them.I wish it went deeper. Indescribable (while not a devotional about heros at all) is written in a manner that captivates kids. That devotional goes Much more in depth than this book.Also it’s sad to me that this devotional only includes men! Maybe the next one the author writes will have both women and men of the Bible. But if you have a only one child and that child is a boy, this is going to be great. We teach a boy and girl together and like I read one we all can relate to.That being said, this devotional on heroes has received excellent reviews as you can see above and I t is extremely colorful! I love that the author took the time to create these powerful pictures for us of our true Role models.It is well written and still in the top five of all the devotionals I’ve seen as a home educator. My 7-year-old son is really into comics and super heroes so this seemed like a fun way to study the stories of the Bible together. However, a few stories in, I quickly realized that this was way too intense for a young kid and too many things (judgment, punishment, murder, animal sacrifice, all or nothing belief) that I had to explain to my son. I want my child to feel loved and embraced by God. This book seemed to only want to instill fear and demand obedience which for me (personally) isn't the approach I want to take with my child as he develops his Christian faith.

I really like this devotional for my 8 year old son. It has sparked some great discussions and let him share his thoughts with us. It is written in a way that is engaging to him, yet what we have read so far has been sound in its teachings. Great purchase.

My son is 4 and loves this book! We do one each night. He is really into super heroes right now and I love making that correlation to the real heroes of the Bible. This book does a great job of doing that. They are very short lessons so they don't take more than 10 minutes every night.

One of the best devotionals I have ever read. I purchased this book for my 11 year old daughter and we read one together daily. She loved it! Very well written and explained. I would highly recommend purchasing this book for any child/teen! I realized once we completed the book, even I fully enjoyed it.

Purchased for my seven year old son who loves all things superhero and definitely not disappointed. It’s great for him to read the hero stories of the Bible and the sketches are great!

We read this as a family every night with our kids (ages 3-8). We love it! It's easy to read and helps us to foster an interest in biblical learning. I highly recommend this book! Kids can read on their own or with a parent. Love it!

This book has my full endorsement. This book is an awesome way to teach your children (or grand children) about what God considers a Hero and how "ordinary" people can be extraordinary "Heroes of Faith", by using the Heroes of the Bible to teach rock solid truths. In today's environment - this thing could preach from the pulpit! My children listen with interest and fascination. And I must say, as a Lover of The Truth, Dad thoroughly enjoys this book too. We read it from Kindle on our Android devices, but it is also available in paperback.

I work in a church school and I bought this for my worship corner. The children love it and they are learning the stories in a fun and engaging way which is what I wanted.
