40th Edition Blue Book of Gun Values

I bought this book for its reputation and am very disappointed. The contents are put in a mess and it is very difficult to check.Let me give you an example. When I try to find Springfield M1 Garand, the book reads 'Please refer to US military section ...'. However, there is no such section called 'US military' in the book and no further reference is given.

To those gun nuts who have lots of quality pieces, and are actively wanting to consider appreciation, this is the book to get. To those critics that stipulate what this book doesnt have, pursue a more specific specialized reference. Duh. To hope for extensive guides on early flintlock and blunderbusses - seriously? For the vast majority of "most" collected guns, Colts, Smith's. Military, etc, again this is it. No, your local phone book wont list the McDonalds in the country of Bangladesh. The "specific" directory at McD's corporate might. If you have more than most. You need this. ...Been using for years and enjoyed acquisitions we still own, and some we consigned to Rock Island and were made quite $happy$. Thanks to Fjasted's.

Unfortunately not all manufactured guns are listed.For instances no listing for stainless Ruger single 7 or the stainless Ruger Hawkeye International. Also found the model 77 17 Hornet to be listed under rimfire section when in fact it is a center fire thus cannot obtain value. However I like that they list the national average value of many firearms.

As usual, the Blue Book does not disappoint. The "bible" for any gun collector or enthusiast. While older editions are still useful, the newest volume has the newer makes, models, and prices.

Missing some details that are in some of my other older copies. like the 501 Grand European o/u 30-06 12ga.?whats that worth these days? i have an older book and I have that price. Im looking for one but still dont have an idea what its worth.

I was expecting a real usb drive. This did not work. DOA. I would not want a replacement. Going to book

Good reference book for most mass produced guns. Not totally comprehensive as it did not include some small production runs in Smith&Wesson or Sig Sauer. May be missing others, but S&W and Sig were what I was mainly interested in.

This product is wonderful. It is exceptionally easy to use and you can find the information you're looking for almost instantaneously. Also, it provides more pictures and illustrations than the paper version. I highly recommend this product.
