Laguiole By FlyingColors Folding Pocket Knife. Stainless Steel, Built in Corkscrew. (Wood)

This is not a French made Laguiole knife, but a Chinese made knock off. Having said that, the quality is amazing given the price. It costs about a tenth as much as the real thing, yet the quality is maybe 90% of the French made knife. I know, I have one. It took a bit of time to sharpen this knife properly but it has kept the sharp edge well since then. Flying Colors bevels only one of the edges against a straight edge. While I prefer a double bevel, and the resulting razor sharpness, the way the knife comes from the seller is certainly adequate for most tasks a pocket knife is called on to perform. It was sharp enough to open cardboard boxes and other packaging with little effort. It is heavier than I expected, but everything fits together well . I think it will last a long time as my every day carry. The design certainly gets positive comments from my Buck and Case carrying friends. I bought his knife to compare with my real Laguiole, and thought I would give it away later. Instead it's my EDC.

Exceeded expectation for the price. This is really a good knife and a good buy. Fit is good, finish is excellent. The blade and bolsters are highly polished. I usually don't care for the modern style knives with plastic and metal that is satin or sandblasted. I really like this old school wood and highly polished metal. The design on the back of the knife on my copy is better than the one pictured. I will update with a photo of mine later. Also, I know that Flying Colors in a good seller to deal with because I bought one of their other knives that had a problem. They responded very well.

This was a perfect groomsmen gift for my outdoorsy friends who appreciate fine outdoor cooking. It's just so cool to have your own camping steaknife with a corkscrew to boot. The presentation is very classy especially for the price point. It comes in a small black case which was wrapped in cellophane. The knife itself feels sturdy and opens securely with no lock mechanism. It takes enough force to close the blade that it shouldn't accidentally close on you especially if you're using it for cutting meats and cheeses, etc. The corkscrew works fine, takes a bit more muscle since there is no hinge but that's no problem. Overall, very classy and extremely affordable. I gave all mine away to my groomsmen so now I need to buy one for myself.

I'm no knife expert but this seems to be great for the price. Has some good weight to it. A little stiff opening and closing the blade as well as the corkscrew but I don't necessarily mind that. The knife isn't perfectly straight but it's only mildly off center, no biggie. Seems to be fairly sharp. No complaints, for the price you can't expect anything better so five stars. There are some negative reviews for getting defective products or what not and I would understand your frustration if this happens. But at the same time you just gotta have prime, it's just so worth all the conveniences it provides

I love this knife but these did not hold up

I was a little concerned about this purchase based on some of the reviews. But so far I am very pleased. The blade sits firmly in place when open. While I was initially concerned that the blade did not lock in place, the resistance is enough that this really isn’t a problem. The blade itself is sharp and the overall design is very classy and elegant. I can see how some might be concerned about the functionality of the corkscrew but I didn’t buy it for that and likely would never use it except when in a pinch. This certainly has the look and feel of a gentleman’s knife.

The knife is really pretty and well-made. I had no issues opening or closing it, and the corkscrew doesn't look like it cost a dollar. I'd much rather have a carrying pouch than the wood box it came with, but that's certainly no deal breaker, especially at this price. I can't speak to its durability, but out of the box it looks like a great purchase. It doesn't say "Made in China," either, so you're not constantly reminded that it's not "real" French Laguiole.

As advertised. Came sharp and well polished. Boxed nicely. Cork screw a tad loose. Time will tell if it will last. The price point for this knife is about right. No complaint there. Would I buy another? Probably.
