The finish is natural but refined, covering redness and uneven tone while feeling breathable on my skin. It really does minimize shine and pores no midday oil slick here!I prep with a lightweight lotion and wait a few minutes before applying. It blends beautifully with a sponge or brush, and the coverage builds just right not too sheer, not too heavy. While the bottle has no pump (heads up: it can be a bit messy!), a small amount goes a long way.On my oily/combination skin, it holds up through most of my 8‑hour day with occasional blotting. Shade 230 blends invisibly and gives a healthy, matte glow even into late afternoon. If you have oily or combo skin and don’t want to spend a fortune, this one’s a winner!

I have worn this foundation for going 8 years. Here's why I love it:1. True buildable coverage. I have red, irritated, textured skin. I need buildable coverage for certain problem areas.2. It blends easily. I use a foundation brush only and have never had blending issues3. It lasts! I work long hours, have little kids, and am running around for sports and school and all the things. This lasts me from 5am to 8pm with no issues.4. It is consistent in quality and price.5. I have combo skin, and love the matte finish. I do look a little oily by the afternoon, but most foundations are on par with that time frame for me.6. No pump. I cannot stand a broken or faulty foundation pump. No pump, no problem.Overall, I would highly recommend giving this foundation a try! It is non-irritating and builds coverage so well! I will use this indefinitely.

Great foundation for the price. I'm normally 94 on the Maybelline skintone scale but I decided to get this color for contouring as it is ridamndiculously hard to find a contour dark enough for my skintone for some reason. So far I really like the way this product blends and sets. I have taken two pictures; one with and without flash to show the contrast. The package came on time and was wrapped nicely to prevent damage which I appreciate. Overall, so far, I don't have any cons. But then again I may be biased as Maybelline has always been great for a sistah on a budget!
