(My husband’s account, but my review- Jamie, female age 41)This book is a must! I’m a 40 yr old mom that turned to this book because everything out there wanted to sell me something else! I’m so glad I did! Brad wrote this book in a very easy to read and easy to understand format. He didn’t try to sell me another “workout plan” or get me to buy into some other gimmick. I wanted the facts and the knowledge of why I wasn’t able to lose weight after months of working out and eating “clean.” I can’t begin to tell you how much this book helped me. I was a gymnast growing up and a bodybuilder in my twenties. I thought I knew how to lose weight and firm up, but nothing worked until I read this book. I was 40 and I hadn’t exercised much for the past ten years. I was always tired and lacked the energy to keep up. Yes, it was difficult to stay on track because of my sugary desires, but it was worth it. I lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks and I felt better than I had in my 20’s! I’m a small frame at 5’2” so 9 lbs was a big difference for me and I only needed to lose 20 lbs. I had more energy than I could ever remember having and I had always lifted weights and was very healthy up until I was 30.I had a few questions along the way and was pleasantly surprised when I emailed Brad with questions and he responded instantly! I couldn’t believe it! This guy knows what he’s talking about and he’s extremely helpful!!! You don’t have to be a former Olympian athlete to follow this 21 day challenge, just very determined and ready for change. You’ll get it with this book! Thanks Brad Davidson!

This works!
Basically a high protein, low carb reset that focuses on eating and drinking cleanly. My wife and I completed the reset (minus the smoothies for me), and I lost 12 lbs and 2 inches from my waist without working out. And, why GERD is a thing of the past. This reset works great if you follow it. The first week was a challenge but after that, it was easy. Also, I can honestly say I wasn't hungry using this approach. Personally, I've morphed the long-term part into the Mediterranean diet and maintenance is easy now.

Excited, now THRILLED
Just got this book and am so excited as I flip through the pages! I've known several people, personally who have changed their lives drastically after doing Brad Davidson's metabolic reset! This book is chalk full of sound nutritional information and is so easy to follow and understand. I have no doubt that this will be a book I will be talking about for years to come!**update: I'm two weeks into the reset and have never felt better! Sleeping so soundly, energy through the roof and feel so alive. Not to mention that I have already lost 1.5 inches from my waist and over two inches around my abdomen which is amazing to me!! I highly recommend this book and this lifestyle!! So easy to do as well!!

Finally, I Understand Why Weight Loss Has Been So Challenging
Finally a book that helps me understand what's going on with my metabolism and why weight loss has been so challenging. I like that it's written for "over achievers" because right from the start the author validates that you're not lazy, you're not unmotivated, you've been successful in every other aspect of your life, so why is weight loss so hard? Just started the plan and cannot report on "results" yet but I can say that what he shares and explains makes sense and "loving your liver" is what I'm doing now. I feel better, so that's a start. Thanks Brad Davidson for documenting your approach. Oh, and it's a "good read," meaning that he and his co-writer, Laura Morton, use language beautifully. Who thought a self-help health book would be such a pleasure to read. Well done!

Brad Davidson has been my trainer for nearly a decade. I chose him- and STAY with him because he is intentional and purposeful in increasing knowledge and very practical in the individual application. He's not interested in making people "look good" as much as he is in getting people healthy from the inside out- starting with your metabolism. His focus on physical strength and function has helped me recover from cancer treatments... All the way to achieving my second black belt at 46 years old after having cancer three times. Most importantly, I never got hurt and I'm now the strongest I've ever been!

I bought this book after several colleagues had recommended it, and I was mainly just looking for the meal plan to get through the 21 days. The first part of the book on why the reset is so important was so fascinating and motivating. I am so impressed with the content and even more so the results. Thanks, Brad!

It Works and You Won't Feel Hungry
Went on Brad's program (before he had the book) and lost around 18 lbs and swelling in my knee went down almost completely. Very easy to follow, you don't feel hungry and I've kept a few of the habits for 2+ years - like the green shakes. The book elaborates on Brad's previous program and offers much more information and food choices. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to shed a few pounds and instantly feel better.

Amazing assistance from 21-Day Reset
This book is so amazing when it comes to information about "what's really going on inside our bodies" as we eat our typical day-to-day diet. I've read a lot of information about "liver function", "allergies", "adrenals", etc., etc. Brad fills in more pieces of the puzzle about how to help our bodies work the way they're supposed to, even as the natural aging process takes place. This one is a "keeper". I will refer back to it on an ongoing basis to review "why I've changed the way I eat"! Am also using info from the "Fat Flush" book....another "keeper".

Very Well Researched
I am just getting started, so I can't report any results. I am very impressed with the authors' research - he definitely knows what he is talking about. It does take a while to wrap your head around this program: your patterns need to change. You likely have to shop for different food, eat differently, cook differently, etc. The author does offer some tips to help with the new way of preparing food though. One thing that is surprising is that I often complain about is that there too much food to eat. You won't be hungry.

Don't think about it- jump on in and do it!
For anyone sitting on the fence about buying this book- Buy It! It's written in a quirky sort of way and I felt the author was really trying to engage. It just totally makes sense, I'm on day 18 of the reset, I'm 9lbs down, sleeping like a baby, lost about 6 inches overall and I'm just feeling so much more energised, alive and healthier. The thought of a green smoothie horrified me, but I actually love them! You need to be organised and prepared with your shopping list for your meals and youll possibly find your shopping bill increases but it's definately worth it to feel so much healthier. On top of this I've not been hungry even once! It doesn't stop with the book, you can join a FB group where Brad will support you and answer any questions etc that you may have. A lot of ingredients are US but it was easy to improvise. Top tip: buy a set of US measuring cups (£2) from Morrisons to ensure that your portions are correct.

telling it as it is
OK, a fair bit of this book is not new. What is new is the way in which a lot of the individual aspects are brought into line in a very simply told manner. A very good way of telling it how it is, and it hits home. A very good read. Wish I had found this book sooner.
