I am so happy with these jars
I am so happy with these jars! They are even better in person- the square shape is just right, and a nice change from the round mason jars I have. I ordered two for coffee storage and was looking for something that was attractive enough to keep out on the counter for easy access. I paired them with the Chalkboard Labels from MagicMil and have posted a photo. I couldn't be happier!

Love the Square Design - Very Durable
I have owned a few of these jars for over 15 years, and they show no signs of wear. The rubber rings still look like new. Because of this, I searched Amazon for the same brand as I needed a few more jars. These came well packaged with a lot of heavy bubble wrap, and I love the square design. The glass is very heavy / durable. Excellent!

Shattered within six months
Bought these for my sourdough starter. Have had two of four of them break within six months of purchase. They look nice and perhaps as merely storage for dry goods, wouldn’t be as big of an issue. But simply stirring with a whisk has resulted in a shatter and a irreparable crack. Given how much they cost, this was a big disappointment.

Fantastic glass jar!
Wow, had no idea how massive this jar would be. I just needed an airtight jar to store 12 oz of ground coffee in, but this is big enough to fit probably two 12 oz coffee bags worth. However, the construction is amazing. It's a hefty jar with a wide mouth and an included rubber gasket/ring to keep it airtight. I store my ground coffee inside and keep it in a cupboard, since UV light apparently affects the freshness of coffee. Excellent product from an excellent company!

Italian design + quality
We have lots of Bormioli Rocco glass jars, drinking glasses, and food storage containers in practically every size and shape. We love them all. These provide a nice, tight seal; the rubber gaskets can be replaced. We've never had a piece of Bormioli Rocco break. We bought this big 50-oz size to make Laura Calder's orange-coffee liqueur aka French 44. It's perfect for that.Caveats: 1) All jars with this style of lid & clasp can be a bit awkward to pour from since the lid can flip-flop around. 2) Jars made in Europe are in metric sizes, and conversions in product listings are often approximate.

Love this!
I am in love with this jar! I bought it specifically for keeping my sourdough starter in. I needed a clear jar with straight sides so that it is easy to scrape down the insides when I add flour and water to my starter and to easily see when it has doubled in size. The size works great for me because I usually keep about 3 cups of starter on hand in the fridge due to the fact that I do a lot of baking. Sourdough is best stored in the fridge with a loose fitting lid, so I just removed the gasket before perking and it works perfectly. Yeah, love this!

I've found that even the plastic containers that promise they're "airtight" & "waterproof," aren't. So I am slowly switching to glass containers & I amseeing much better results. We live on Lake Erie & the summers are very humid, & I got tired of finding flour, cereal, pasta etc. ruined from it.These "snap-lock" jars with rubber seals keep the moisture OUT, & are offered in a nice range of sizes. Bravo, Bormioli Rocco!
