Cica Care 12cm x 6cm Small Size Scar Management

I am using this on a post surgery incision scar located on my ankle. It has been so useful for two reasons. The soft gel creates some padding and reduces friction against shoes and socks protecting the skin. Secondly it keeps the scar from drying out and the tissue seems more moisturised. It very noticeably reduces the raised and angry look of the scar, if I leave if off for a day or night I can very much see the difference. The fact that you can just wash the dressing with some soap and warm water allow it to air dry and then reuse it again and again is brilliant, it's great value for money. You can also cut it to size but I would recommend leaving it a good bit over size so it sticks well rather than cutting it a bit small. I'll be wearing this for a good while to come as scars take a long time to heal, but this is definitely helping to prevent the formation of heavy keloid scaring.

It seems to be working! Noticed the tissue becoming much softer after only one use. I don’t understand the comments about it not sticking - it sticks pretty well and doesn’t fall. I used it for a small scar in the abdominal area after a surgery - will definitely keep using!

One the one hand, it does help with healing, the extra protection and hydration helped me to patch up a wound that was healing wrong and where the scarring and scabbing was constantly cracking and re-opening.On the other, adhesion is abysmal. The longest I managed to use one small piece was 18 hrs, with cleaning and re-attaching it several times (it is meant to last for 2-4 weeks). If you use it on a body part that stretches/moves around, it will keep falling off. The edges are sticky and if you e.g. use it in the night and it put your arm or whatnot on a pillow, it will stick to the pillow more than to your arm.So, be aware that using it on scars thare not smooth, on body parts where where the skin moves a lot during the day/night, or if you are using smaller pieces, this is not the item for you.

Expensive but worth it. If used correctly. Helpes prevent scars and really helps heal burns I work in a coffee shop ... so get many.. I swear by this stuff !

Absolutely useless product. I've spent as much money again buying specialist medical tape to try and secure it but with no success. It curls over on itself and moves which is not good. Extremely disappointed and cannot imagine where they get the pricing for this. Ive gone back to using hypa cover adhesive dressing non woven.

My wife purchased the product to manage two scares on her wrist. After a week of use the results weretruly amazing. Highly recommended.
