The Affinity Photo Beginners Guide is the best companion for all new users of the amazing Affinity Photo software. If you want to really get a fast handle on the world's leading photo-editing software, then this will be a great help to you. This book will teach you the first 10 skills you need to know how to use to get off to a great start using Affinity Photo. The skills you will learn in this book are:How to Open ImagesThe Affinity Photo InterfaceHow to Crop PicturesHow to Remove Imperfections from a Photo (like acne or blemishes)How to use the Adjustment LayerHow to use MasksHow to make SelectionsHow to change the background of a photoHow to add text (to an image)How to Save and Export We are busy making many other Affinity Photo books. Look for our other titles under the name Frank Walters. Review: Not very impressed - I was also disappointed, although I (try to) use Affinity on a Windows10 laptop. The book spends (wastes?) time and space highlighting perceived advantages that Affinity has over Photoshop before starting on the 10 important skills. I find some of the screenshots embedded in the text hard to read. The text assumes that one has downloaded the photo examples used in the text via Facebook (I do not subscribe and for various reasons will not subscribe to Facebook). All in all not happy with the book and I expect I shall look for an alternative. One final thing, the screenshots don’t seem to correspond to the actual screen displays. It might be me misinterpreting what I’m looking at but it’s possible some Screenshot examples were taken from a different version of the software to the one I have (bought and downloaded less than a month ago). Review: Not for iPad - I was so disappointed. I had been looking forward to this book. I have affinity photo on my iPad. I really needed a beginners guide to get me started. The book arrived promptly- it’s all for windows. No where did it say on line it wasn’t suitable for an iPad. It is no help at all. Other buyers be warned.

Starter
I would have liked more detail about the various tools as the plethora of tools and other functions is quite daunting for a starter.
