Stark Bike Light LED set
I am generally pleased with the Stark Bike Light LED set. The flashlight's adjustable light gives a good combination of bright directed illumination if you need to see the trail in front of you, as well as more general background illumination if you need to see more area. I like the three settings (bright, normal, and strobe); normal and strobe are more useful I think for being seen than seeing. The flashlight itself appears durable and well made. I had no problem mounting it on my stock schwinn, and have found it easy to remove the flashlight from the mount (and have found it to be an equally effective flashlight as bike headlight). So far, I have put in 10-15 hours of use into the first set of batteries, and have not seen any decrease in illumination. My chief -- and in fact only -- complaint is with the rear red LED. This works fine as well, with three settings (solid on, fast strobe, slower strobe). Unfortunately, the light is only as effective as it's mount, which is a tough rubber-like plastic band. This appears to be durable and flexible, which it needs to be, but requires a small plastic hook to bring the two ends of the band together. That plastic hook broke off on my second use, and has largely made the rear light useless.Overall, based on my issue with the rear red LED, I would not recommend this as a purchase for folks looking for both a front and rear light set. However, the front light is great, and I would recommend that component, very highly. Stark Bike Light LED Set - Best & Brightest Waterproof Front and Back Lights - Sleak & Rugged - Mount w/out Tools - Road, Racing & Mountain Bikes - Batteries Included - 100% Replacement Guarantee 8/23/15 update: Harz has offered to replace the clip (I suspect the whole light). This speaks well to their replacement guarantee and to their customer service. Harz contacted me on a Saturday within an hour of my inquiry. I've added a fifth star accordingly.9/21/15 update. I have reduced my rating for this product by 1 star and awarded the seller 1 star for the absolutely vile experience I had in trying to get a replacement light. It took three attempts and three addresses to get them to delivery a replacement, and at least three times as many emails with the phenomenally rude "Karen," whose attitude got progressively worse the more times Harz failed. If you are lucky to get a product that works fine (and the front light does work fine), and don't need a rear light, you have yourself a deal. Otherwise, my experience with Harz was insulting, a time sink, and unquestionably not worth it.I can recommend the product, but not the shipper.9/22/15 Update. The problems with Harz start at the top of the company, with their dishonest "leader," Erik Powell. After sending an email to him from their site addressing my concerns, this is the passive aggressive, dishonest "apology" he sent."I would like to thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. I have sat down with Karen and scolded her severely for such inappropriateness. The fact that she repeatedly responded to your emails without satisfying your every need is inexcusable. She knows just how wrong she was for not following up with UPS and lambasting them in the manner which you so artfully did with her, in order motivate them into doing the very job which we paid them to do. I am furious with her inability to know exactly the where about of each package we at Harz sent to you after each of your very justified complaints. Given your in-depth knowledge of the workings of UPS, Amazon, and the Harz company, I would like to thank you for the level of patience and understanding you showed to such a clearly "incompetent" employee. Please know that all future employees will learn from this experience. Thanks again for your purchase, and may it be a lamp unto your path!Kind Regards,Mr Powell"This is clearly an organization that is interested more in disrespecting their clients and lying rather than accept responsibility for needing three addresses to ship one light. Good luck to anyone else who has the misfortune of needing something actually shipped to them from Harz.

More Chinese junk from Amazon
It's starting to become harder and hard to find QUALITY products on Amazon. The reality is that every day, you have to be more and more diligent what you purchase from Amazon, lest you want cheap Chinese crap. It's ironic that places like AliExpress and Alibaba are pretty much well known for the same Chinese junk, but they somehow manage to offer better prices, better shipping and better quality products without price gouging customers on Amazon Prime. As the dark is coming sooner every evening, I quickly discovered I needed a light for my bike on my way home from work. Some of my local streets are pitch black and I was worried I was going to hit something or someone. There's a massive amount of bike lights avaible on Amazon. Some of them are also ridiculously priced. $50+ dollars for a LED light and some rechargeable batteries? Give me a break. So I came across this product listing. It seemed to fit my budget and my need for a bike light. I didn't need anything that was going to light up the night's sky. Just something to keep me from running into things in the dark. I also purchased this product because (at the time) it was listed as an Amazon Prime product. It shipped quickly and I got this in the mail just three days later. When I opened it up, I was a little disappointed. Once again I have been sold cheap Chinese crap. Let's start with the anchor that hooks to your bike for the light - It's made out of that really soft, cheap plastic that products from China are well known for. As I was screwing it together on my handle bars, I was actually worried I would either break the anchor or strip out the screws. The entire unit just felt frail.Anyways, the anchor is bascially nothing more than a holster for a cheap flash light. There's nothing but a tool-less screw that holds it in place of the anchor, so when you park you bike, I'd suggest taking the flash light with you, because you know there's some scummy person out there that's gonna steal your cheap crummy flash light. The flash light itself is nothing more then thin, frail aluminium. It felt like you could easily crush this like you would a soda can. It is lit by a single LED light, the lens is actually just a piece of magnafine lens. The head of the flash light is made out of plastic and can be rotated to adjust the size of the light and the intensity. The batteries are held in with a cheap plastic battery holster that slides into the flash light and is operated with a rubber button on the back. From what I discovered there's actually two settings for the LED light, a standard solid light and a flashing, blinking light. The product page advertises that this is a "water proof" light, which should be a red flag right away. Even phone manufacturers avoid using that term, instead they use something like, "water resistant". But the reality is, I wouldn't trust this flash light getting wet. The ONLY insulator in the entire flashlight is a thin rubber gasget that sits between the back of the screw cap and the body of the flashlight. No, I do not believe this flash light is "water proof". Perhaps when I get a better quality light, I'll give this one a water test and return with the results. You also get a dinky red light that straps on via a rubber strap you can put somewhere on your bike. I guess it's just another safety light. It has two settings solid red and blinking.
