Barbie Fashionistas Doll with Green Striped Mohawk

We absolutely LOVE this barbie. Her hair is the coolest ever and my daughter is trying so hard to take good care of her so she doesn't mess up her hair. Haha. So cute.

This whole Fashionistas line is gorgeously inclusive, and this one especially sparked the interest of my "ungirly" 8-year-old. She was so thrilled to see a doll that looks more like the kind of female she sees herself as that she almost cried. She plays with it more than any other doll she's ever had, and says it is "the best Barbie ever."

She's great. I love the androgynous look. The mohawk is great, but it's a bit big in relation to her face. Might need to modify it. The petite dolls fit into the Creatable World doll clothes pretty well, which is in keeping with her tomboyish style. The bottoms are a bit tight and the shoes are too big, but otherwise look great on her.

This Barbie's playfully androgynous look bucks gender norms and is very on-point as far as what's happening in urban style. Her sleeveless dress shirt and overalls are adorable and very well-made. Her acid-green hair (which looks really pretty with her skin tone) comes in a rolled mohawk, which I thought looked a wee bit Oompa-Loompa-ish, so I rinsed out the fixative and combed it just a bit with my fingers and it looks amazing. You could straighten her hair out and do a traditional mohawk if you wanted to, though it gets gradually shorter toward the back. The brown sides of her hair are painted on.

Got this for my niece who loves barbies and has a big collection. I didn't want to add just another basic barbie to her set. She went nuts with this fun, funky, green-haired stylist edition! Nailed it!!

Doll came in a padded envelope with another item. I'm not a fan of that kind of shipping for dolls. She was fine and the packaging wasn't crushed which is rare when sent in padded envelopes. I do like the petite doll with the old Skipper face mold. She does have a lot of sticky hair gel on that can be washed off. The outfit is two pieces which I'm happy about. All in all, a great buy.

I had been wanting this fashionista for a while because I just love her unique look! I finally got her and I’m not disappointed. My only complaint with these newer ones is their bodies only have 5 points of articulation: head, shoulders, and legs. It would be nice if THEIR LEGS COULD BEND too😩Anyway, I decided to swap her head/body with the MTM yoga THICC Barbie🙃 and I love her even more! Skin tone wise it’s a very close match. Probably could match the purple top yoga MTM fair tone as well.
