He advised me to apply annually in order to protect my natural stone. I purchased this product, pressure washed my coping, waterfall and other stone around my pool and then applied this product with a roller and brush. It was very easy to apply and 5 months later the water still beads on the stone like it was just applied. Do follow the weather report before applying as the directions state to let the product dry for 3 days before exposing to rain or water. I recommend the product, there may be less expensive ones out there but this product works well! Review: Easy to apply! - We had a new flagstone feature on our salt water pool and I was advised by the pool construction company to seal it as the salt would eat into the natural stone. I was quoted $500 for the pool company to provide this same product and for them to apply it to the flagstone. And it does not need re treatment for three years! The wife and I decided to seal all the natural stone around our pool to protect it. Much of the sealers out on the market boast protection for natural stone however if you look into the fine print, they usually don't state protection to salt water. Once the natural stone was sealed, I didn't notice any change at all to the color or surface texture (like they promised). But as a quick test, after the 72 hour curing session I dumped a bunch of the salt water on the surface of the stone. Instead of slowly absorbing into the stone, it just looked like surface bubbles on the stone. It slowly evaporated and never once absorbed into the natural stone at all.
