this is one that you will read, and then want to send to all of your friends
Twenty-seven authors, all who are independent and successful writers, come together for this anthology about love. And who doesn’t just love a love story or a love letter? But, this wasn’t digging through the box in the back of the closet: these are the love letters that never were written, or sent. Perhaps courage was waning, or perspective was missing: or the worst of all, you could do it tomorrow. These are those love letters: the ones that never saw the light of day.Poignant, powerful and often so laden with emotion these are all stories that will make you think. Whether you can remember some of the references, or the feeling, or even if you were that girl, in that situation: you will not be simply reading along peeking at a life. While this is not a long book, the emotional impact is a cumulative one: I’m one who devours books, and I found myself giggling, gasping and later blurry eyed from the tears that were falling. Each story has a different heartstring that it dances on: memories, empathy, regrets and lessons are all found within these letters. Each new letter had me adding one more person to the ‘chase them down and make them get this book list”. It isn’t often that I have books that people MUST buy, but this is one that you will read, and then want to send to all of your friends. Beautifully written, these ladies pour out their stories and display emotions that are so raw, real and present you will not be untouched.I purchased an eBook copy of the title for my own personal library. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Wonderful Reminder
This is a fantastic book for so many reasons. I think the main one is the fact that while reading it, it reminded me that I should never let time slip by without letting people know how important they are to me. It's not just important for them to hear it, it's important for me to let them hear it. It's reminded me I need to take time away from the silly little things that clutter my life and do the things that create the memories me and my loved ones will cherish in the years to come, the ones they will tell generations of, because I know no one wIll care years from now that the lawn was mowed or the dishes were done or the laundry put away. This book had me in tears, had me remembering things from my past, from my family and had me reminding myself of the things I needed to remember to say to those most important in my life.Anthologies are also wonderful just for the fact that you can pick them up for a quick read, put them down and not worry about where you left off. If you read one story, or in this case a letter, you have the whole thing done, start to finish, if that is all you have time for. But watch out- it is hard to put it down after reading just one!I think one of the greatest thing about this book though is the fact I get a little "taste" of each author's work and a bio from each. This is filled with talented writing from such a large group of women and it's given me a peek into their souls. Now I've discovered even more authors I need to add to my book shelves. Great job, ladies!

Lost Love Letters
The book review for today is "Lost Love Letters: An Indie Chicks Anthology" by a collection of various authors. As the title states, it is an anthology of lost love letters. Those letters that are never sent to the intended party. The book contain letter to children, mothers, boyfriends, girlfriends and the likes. To those who touched our lives and are no longer with us for whatever reasons, this book is for you.But the beauty of this book are the stories that came forth from the array of authors that contributed to this book. They wrote love letters that they would not send or could send to those it was dedicated to. It gave them a chance to individually to pour out their hearts and the love they felt for the person their letter is address to. It gives them a chance to say all they ever wanted to say but just never could. A chance to cleanse oneself in a letter to someone else.I loved this concept. Who doesn't have a person in their lives that they wish they had said something but held back? I know I do. In fact more than one person falls in this category for me. Some of the stories will make you tear up but the common thread is the deep love that one can read through the written words of this book. This book was given to me for free in exchange for an honest review by one of the authors. It is a delight and quick read that will make you smile and laugh and all in between.

Words from the heart.
I was expecting love letters to past or present lovers, but that is not what can found within the pages of this touching, moving book. Words from the heart is what one tastes as you absorb the letters one by one. Perhaps some of the letters found their way to the subject being considered, most probably not. A "forever memory" is what I title those moments in our lives which are etched upon our hearts, moments unknown to others, even often to the person who shared it. It is worth the brief moment to read these letters, to feel the sincerity, to taste the heart felt emotion, to be moved by the sharing of love. We all have different tastes when it comes to books, but I believe we all agree, it is love, generated by the pen of a writer who has felt its tenderness or its sorrowfulness is what can deeply move us. You are encouraged to purchase this book and garner heartfelt emotions.

Unusual and revealing gems of emotion
These evocative stories by a varied group of talented writers, reveal an unusual kaleidoscope of emotions directed at lost lovers, deceased lovers, mothers, fathers and children, but every one of them is written from the heart. I loved dipping in to the book over the course of several weeks, always surprised by what in many cases felt like the secret raw autobiographical outpourings of thwarted love. But this of course is the mark of fine writing, when an author projects herself into a character and becomes that character. In several of the stories I empathised with the protagonist with a deja vu feeling that transported me back to some of my own loves and losses. It would not be fair to single out any of the stories - they are all different and all have their merits. I loved the book and wish that there were more collections of short stories of this calibre.

A COLLECTION OF LOVE LETTERS
I picked up this anthology as I follow one of the authors and enjoy her writing and noticed she was a contributor. I am glad that I did. These lost love letters vary in length, content and emotion. These are the letters that we would write and never send. Some were surprising, some were heart wrenching, some were wonderfully uplifting and some were very interesting only because I would never have thought of writing such a letter. This anthology has also introduced me to new authors who are now on my ever-growing TBR list. The 4* is only because of the formatting and several spelling mistakes.

I got this book as some of my favorite authors had submitted letters to this anthology. I found it easy to read as the letters are short, I normally don't read this type of book but I am glad I read this one.08 February 2014"
