How often does the garlic clove shoot out instead of getting crushed when rolling on it?

So far, never - it goes through the holes and then you need to scrape it off the inside surface with a knife. I think the outer surface is rough enough to prevent shooting cloves :-).

Is it made in America?

Dear Buyer Thank you for your question It is made in China. Its quality is very good, and all buyers enjoy a 365-day warranty. Vantic Service Team

Yes, I was a little skeptical but took a chance, since it wasn't very expensive. Works great and I like it. Saves a lot of time.
