Keeps out the bugs!
I want to start, I've only opened it and tested it out. I've not actively use out in the field yet. I love the straps and net canopy, nothing feels terribly cheap, and the seams are sewn well, I see no holes. If you're not laying in it, it does flip upside down when built because its top heavy. Which you can use the rope and ground steaks to hold it in place. Overall, I like it and recommend, I may update when I go camping in the cooler months after I've tested it and see how well it holds up.

Updated Review re: Grommet areas
Love everything, but I haven't had this for a week and the straps are already pulling off the grommets where the tent poles anchor in three of the four grommets. I emailed Etrol support and will change this review if they make it right. I probably don't even have 4 hours of use in it yet. Update 8/11/20. I'm upgrading my rating from 3 to 5 stars. Etrol responded to my email, sent me a new hammock at no additional cost to me. The customer service is above average, they genuinely seem to care about their product quality. I've used the new hammock for about the same amount of time as the other and it looks like the straps holding the grommets are secure. If they start to pull loose like the last one, I'll update this review. One point to note: When I disassembled the first hammock and pulled out the tent poles, some of the rods were permanently bent. Some of the tent-poles retained the "memory" of their installed curvature. I was still able to return the rods to their pouch and get everything back into the stuff sack. It's not a deal breaker for me because I only intended my hammock to be used in my garage. I don't think i'd care if I intended to camp with the hammock but if I went camping, I'd buy something different simply because this hammock is a dedicated "garage-hammock". Some people commented on stray threads/edges that are frayed on the interior of the hammock. I saw the same thing in both hammocks sent to me but they are easily trimmed and are always on the outside of the stitching. If I have any stitching or seams come loose, I'll update this review but I honestly don't anticipate having an issue - again, I've only got a half dozen hours or so in each hammock so far. In my original hammock I also had a few pin holes in the hammock bottom, the new one had none. We store the hammock with the tent poles installed. We just unclip one end and reattach it to the other for storage on the wall (pictured).

Nice design, little confidence in durability
I tried several brands of this same design and ultimately liked this one the most and intend to use it for hammock/tent camping in the Appalachian area. It sets up easy, is relatively light, and is obviously versatile since it can be set up as a tent or hammock depending on your situation. It's comfortable to be in, having the vaulted mesh is nice and spacious feeling; I've had hammocks where you run a ridgeline and hang the mesh and they have always felt a little claustrophobic. All the accessory pieces to the hammock seem well made. My main concern is with the hammock itself. It always seems to stretch down a little more than I expect, and the bottom material feels very thin and fragile. I feel as if it could give way any second every single time I get into it, and I always easy myself into it a slowly as I can. That said, I've been in it with my dogs, with my wife. Had it loaded down pretty well and it's yet to give way, or even make tearing noises. It just always *feels* likes it's about to bust, but it might just be a characteristic of the material; maybe in time it will earn my confidence. If it tears in half, I'll update my review. But since it's been performing so far, it's got my vote.

My go to for any motorcycle ride!
I absolutely love this hammock. Fits perfectly in my motorcycle. Easy to set up after a long day of riding and I don't have to worry about bugs! Lightweight, and super comfortable to sleep in. The straps are a little long but tie them up and they are manageable. Great quality for the price!

ha...escape ground rocks
brought this camping, was a bit skeptical because thinner than another i have, but worked very well. hammock has bit of stretch so hang high, tree straps great, did not try in tent mode, did remove poles to use as hammock flipped...worked just fine. mosquito mesh hardy... poles do not stay upright when hammock empty but great when loaded with person, poles stayed in place very well *just a note to fellow campers, tsa does not allow tent poles in carry on luggage, so if you are planning to fly you may need to check poles or you could simply string a line to keep mosquito mesh up. this has nothing to do with the product which i loved but tsa and flying. poles do fold down for packing. i had no rain but you should consider a rainfly/tarp to go with...and i found it great to have a mini tarp/ground cloth i plan to buy another because perfect for easy pack, quick set up, and comfort

IT'S JUNK!!!
This hammock is junk! One of the aluminum broke in with 5mins. use. The hammock stretch's alot! You will need to hang it a foot higher that other hammocks or you will be on the ground.I file for a refund and them want to send me a new rod why?!.SO IT CAN BREAK AGAIN OUT OF WARRANTY? NO THANKS! I own hammocks from several other manufactures and thought that this hammock had a attached bug net with suspension rods and would worth giving it a try. What adisapointment.

Mostly I love this hammock/tent. My only real complaint is it doesn't hang easy. Takes me awhile to get it secure. Also wish it packed a bit smaller. Love that it's dual hammock and tent. As a tent for a single person it's great.
