Well, we ordered a lion with four buckles, but received the bear with 3 buckles? I don't care enough to exchange it so this review is for the yellow bear with 3 buckles and not the super cute pictured lion with 4 buckles. It has a little chime in the inside that is pleasant sounds. Our 21 month old likes doing and undoing buckles and that is why we got it. These buckles are easy enough that she can do them but challenging enough to keep her interested. It's well-made; albeit, not the exact item that I ordered. I recommend it with reservation due to not getting the exact item ordered, but, nonetheless, my daughter likes her "buckle bear".

Although my daughter loves this toy, some of the connectors are a little tough for her to open (even I had trouble the first couple times, but they do get looser for me after a while...hoping that happens for my little ones little hands too.) Oh and the doll is WAY bigger than I imagined it would be. Worth the money for the cuteness and size factor, but not an independent toy for a 2 year old. Adult help will be needed for some of the connectors.

My son at 20 months was really preoccupied with buckles. Car seat buckles. Stroller buckles. You name it. So this toy was a brilliant find. He was predictably drawn to it however the fixation was so successful that he quickly got his buckle obsession out of his system. It was only his favorite toy for a week or two.

I bought this as a toy when my son was 1 year old. He is turning 2 this week and is now in love with it. He spends a significant amount of time playing with it. He still needs some assistance lining the buckles up but is becoming more autonomous. The buckles have different ribbons attached so it becomes a matching activity as well. I plan on buying it as a gift for our next 1 year old birthday party.

Very cute toy, of good quality, and a cute idea. My toddlers love fastening and unfastening buckles. They like the big car seat buckles and giant clasps, in fact every time I go to put my infant into her carrier, I am have to unbuckle her seatbelt because my 1 year old always buckles it as soon as I take her out. I thought this toy would be perfect for him, but the problem is that the buckles are too hard for tiny hands. I'd say they require the motor skills of at least a 3 year old, but a 3 year old kid is not interested in doing buckles all day. It is the 1 and 2 year-olds that love to do buckles, but these buckles aren't designed for them. They can pinch fingers and the buttons are hard to press. This toy needs bigger, chunkier , easier-for-little-hands buckles and then I'd give it 5 stars.

My two year olds really love this toy. They will sit down and actually work on putting the buckles together. I got it originally because one of my girls was fascinated with buckles, but now, both of them like the toy. Great purchase if your kids like buckles!

I really like how this bear keeps my 2 year old so busy! She focuses and buckles and is content! Only thing is that we had it for a day or two and a buckle broke. I was just going to cut off that buckle but decided to ship it back to Amazon. UPS picked it up at my door, postage was paid for, and the new one came right away! Awesome!

My ten month old loves this toy. She can't do the buckles yet, but she enjoys pulling the straps. I think it's the bright color and size that she enjoys now. Very cute.
