Can it sense both when the tank is full and the tank is empty ?

Yes sir, it can sense both. It gives continuity both side of sensor

Hello, there are three wires coming out of the sensor. Please clarify the functions.

1. black - Common 2. Red - Bottom side Touch Contact Output 3. Green - Top side Touch Contact Output

It can be install by hanging it on tank's top roof and according to level of water,contact become short and open.

Can float switches be connected to trip switchesfor auto motor switch off?
