Not safe
This was a good hairdryer and served me well for just over a year and a half. However today it caught fire from the handle while I was using it. I have had hairdryers fail before usually by blowing out a bit of smoke from the actual heat fan but this one gave me no warning and just blew out flames from the handle where the cord is attached. It has never been coiled up and has been well looked after.

Super powerful do much do it blew the nozzle off wjich made me laugh obvioudly i didnt push on hard ennough . Only let down is you can accidently switch off as thumb sits right where buttons are. Other then that minor detail, a great hairdryer. Quite heavy.
