Love this product
This is a great set up! I love how small the UV light is. You can attach it to your waders and keep the UV Knot Sense in a pocket. I keep the Wader glue in the bag so I can make repairs when I'm done for the day on multi-day trips. Definitely a must have

Much better than Plyobond
Haven't had to use the wader repair yet, just used for line knots. If you live in wet dark Pacific Northwest get the uv light. I applied glue to leader knot on a cold dark rainy day, then shined the light on it, done in 15 seconds. Much better than Plyobond.

Very useful product. Great for coating knots to streamline
Very useful product. Great for coating knots to streamline, which is my main use. Apply, shine UV light on for a short while, and you're done. I'm sure it will be great for the inevitable wader patch too.

Two Stars
Arrived on time. But bothe tubes leaking from the bottom weld seam. Flashlight seems to work.

Unmatched glue convenience, good quality UV lamp
Just got this kit as a gift from my wish list; it makes a nice low-cost gift. I wanted it primarily to smooth fly line-to-leader and leader/tippet knots. I tried Pliobond, but it takes days to dry, shrinks as it does, is opaque brown (not good on nearly-invisible tippets), and separates (must be shaken) in the tube. This Loon UV Knot Sense cures clear in a few seconds without shrinking. I just used it to help attach a braided loop to the end of a fly line. I was then able to trim it down with a razor blade for a nice smooth, flexible, low-profile knotless connection. Gonna have to redo it though, because it didn't hold to the brand-new line's slick coating. Should just need to rough up the coating a bit.The lamp is nicely-machined aluminum, and has rubber rings to make it waterproof. Has 3 LED's which also emit visible light, so you can tell when it's on, runs on 3 "N" cells (~1+1/8 x 7/16 inch) (included). The rear end cap is twisted to turn on/off. There were no instructions with it or markings in it for battery installation. A spring is inside at the LED end, and the appearance of the rear end cap implies that the "+" convex-end of the cells go toward the end cap. Worked for me. Since the lamps are diodes, as far as I know they might be damaged if you get the polarity wrong; didn't test that. It's just over 4+1/2 inches long and 5/8 diameter. There is a less-expensive Loon UV Mini Lamp, but it looks like it may be cheaper quality, and I'm suspicious that it may run through batteries faster. Don't know what type it takes.Haven't needed to test the wader repair adhesive yet, thankfully. Should be helpful on the water to cure it in a few seconds.[...]
