TickTalk 3 Unlocked 4G LTE Universal Kids Smart Watch Phone with GPS Tracker, Combines Video, Voice and Wi-Fi Calling, Messaging, Camera, IP67 Water Resistant & SOS

Had this watch for a few weeks now. heres my thoughts. The tracking accuracy is really quite good. GPS is GPS of course, but when using public wifi mode its can be almost as accurate as GPS in certain places (i guess the more public wifi nodes there are, the more accurate it gets). Where tracking falls apart is when it switches to cell tower, and the watch can be off by more than a hundred yards. But usually the algorithm is quite smart and will know to switch to GPS (if the signal is available). Smart! But this is a two edged sword. To ensures you get the best possible tracking, the watch searches for optimal tracking between wifi, cell signal and GPS. But if the algorithm gets 'confused' because these signals are weak, then it'll hop back and forth and in so doing, the battery gets drained. For example, we took the watch on a plane and forgot to put it on airplane mode. when we landed, i checked the battery and nearly half of it was gone - and it was just a one hour flight! As for other features - the wifi calling / facetalk thing works great too. The watch's speaker can be a little bit choppy if 4G signal is weak (but still good enough to get the message across in the event of emergency). The video image is clear and smooth. Again, its a two edge sword - because doing all this stuff drains battery like crazy. A single 3 min conversation can drain battery by 5-7 pct. The app works great, and you really appreciate the fact that these developers are smart enough to not put any games in there - unlike some other brands that thinks its okay for five year olds to play mobile games all day on a tiny 2 inch screen. Having said that, I wish there is a way to automatically upload some of the pictures and vidoes from the watch but i think thats something they're working on. The whole spying/super hearing thing is... well, very black mirror stuff. I think we can all appreciate its use in the event of a real emergency, but its also a potential lawsuit / privacy violation issue just waiting to blow up. As others said - use it at your own risk. So my thinking on Tick Talk 3 is this - the watch tries to be everything. it wants to be a really good outdoor and indoor positioning tracker. it wants to be a 4G communication device. it wants to be a video and audio recorder. it wants to be waterproof. it wants to be liked by five year olds and parents alike. More importantly, it want to be priced significantly below $200. But what buyers need to understand that its impossible for any watch to deliver all this without sacrificing something - and that something is battery life - which is a deal breaker for many understandably. So if you are in love with the idea of what Tick Talk can do, just know that it wont answer all your helicopter parenting need. For special case where kids go on an expedition or field trip and you want to keep track of them then this device ks perfect. And by that use case alone it's worth the $140 something i paid for. But if you expect have a five year old wear it to school everyday like a regular watch? Unless the five year old is superdisciplined and knows to how to manage battery consumption - it just is not practical. Either that or Tick Talk would need to have much more powerful batteries and better hardware, but then the watch wont be $140 anymore. itll be more like $400.

I got this watch following throughly reviews of what is available online. I read many reviews and this one had the highest ratings. • Amazing customer service. I had an issue and I was lucky to get the help from TIFFINY ADAMS. She is amazing! She was patient to go through all The steps and took all actions to make sure our device works as expected. For this only I would give 5 stars as it’s all about after sales support once you bought any product. She did amazing. • Excellent, Accurate and fast GPS location • Easy and straightforward to use for my 8 years old kid! Soft button for DAD, MOM and SOS if needed. • firewall contact list, safe watch • doesn’t have games! Which is the best thing ever! • you can assign tasks, alarms & reminders from your mobile app and it just pops up on the watch • my son sometimes forgets to take it off when in shower, but that’s fine as we didn’t had issues at all. • camera is good • battery life: I saw lots of comments on the battery life. We charge it overnight and my son wears it till 7pm and usually battery is almost 10%-20%. I guess u need to do some settings to get longer battery life. We turn off Wifi, turn off continues GPS as it’s not really needed where we live, and more important my son doesn’t play with the watch at all!!! So it’s only used when and as needed! It would be great if it last for couple of days. • when battery is below 10%, All screens get off except the the main contacts to call Dad, Mom and SOS!... smart! • Notifications can override the “do not disturb” settings if needed which is great • we are outside US and it’s working perfectly. Just buy the option of open system.

This product worked well with our T-Mobile family plan. I think it only cost $5 a month at the time, but I can't remember exactly. I think I bought it a year or two ago. We like the ability to video chat but there was still a few features that were a bit glitchy. I think we could only video chat for a couple minutes before the video chat would end. I think it might have been to avoid overheating or the battery dying. The battery life was okay but it didn't last as long as some of the more simple phone watches. So far, my family and I got three different phone watches for ages 6 to 10. We got the phone watch from Verizon, T-Mobile, and this one(Ticktalk3). I think I prefer the Verizon phone watch and this phone watch(ticktalk3) to the T-Mobile one. They were all about the same price, I believe they were all between $150 to $170 or around there. I think the Gizmo gadget 2 from Verizon was the most streamlined version and easy to navigate and gave the parent a lot of control like being able to mute the ringer during class or set specific class times. I don't really care for the T-Mobile version, at least the one that we got a year or two ago, it didn't have many features, battery life wasn't the best, and it didn't give the parent very much control. But I liked this phone's (ticktalk3) video chat feature, so even though it wasn't the most streamlined and it was a little bit bigger/bulky, I think it was worth it the purchase. I also liked that the child could send pictures to the parent, which nice so the child could send pictures when she was out with her friend. I'm just disappointed that the child we got the watch for lost it after a few months.

Tick Talk 3 is a nice watch. We had the old tick talk 2, and I am happy they finally have a waterproof version as both of my boys old watches got drenched in a pond and broke. Battery life is okay if kids don't play games or you don't use watch much. UPDATE 10/2020: Beware! This watch WAS advertised as waterproof on Amazon and it is DEFINITELY NOT WATERPROOF! We used to have the TickTalk 2 and those watches broke after being submerged in water for a couple of seconds. Their customer service representative recommended we replace it with the newly available TickTalk 3, which she stated was waterproof. So we went ahead and made the expensive purchase. The watch is supposedly rated as waterproof IP67 which means it can be submerged in 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. I watched my boys both walk into the shallow end of a pool momentarily when I called to them to get out and take the watches off. The watches were only submerged for no more than 20 seconds and will no longer power on. We sent the watches to TickTalk (the seller) who said there is water damage and that they will not replace them even though the watches are just a few months old. They state that their warranty does not cover water damage to their "waterproof" watches and they demand a $100 payment per watch to replace them (brand new watches were just on sale for $139). And they have now changed the description to water resistant. Their FAQs page, the manual and the box clearly state waterproof (see pics). I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission

My 10 year old has had the TickTalk for almost a week and it's a significantly huge improvement over the past two "smart" watches we tried over the past two years. The watch is constructed well, has a fun and feature rich software with all the talk/text/fun capabilities we could want, and a great mobile app to help parents track and interact with their kid. Instructions and setup was very easy as well. We're using the Speedtalk wireless and the plan is affordable and service seems great so far. Only downside so far is that the battery appears to run out faster than I'd expected (3/4 of a day) but there are support articles explaining how to address this. Overall, happy all around.

I like the watch, the sound is great on the watch. We had some issues with using face talk via WiFi. One of the biggest and most important features of the watch is NOT accurate which is GPS tracking. My son has worn the watch a few times while out with his father and it will often show that my son is in Colorado. If something were to happen to my son, I am unable to trust the validity of the GPS tracking feature.

This is my second watch for my son. First one was garbage made by another Chinese company. After few month of use it broke. Bought this as replacement. This watch is little more expensive but works great so far after two weeks. It was very easy to set up from my old T-Mobile sim chip. It took me 15 minutes to set up and working. Make sure you charge the phone also before you start. It were ll take like 3 hours to fully charge. My son loves the watch and it is very easy to operate it. I love that it is also 4g LTE rather then cheap 2g most kids smartwatch. Also the WiFi is great on this watch. Its pretty accurate GPS to locate my son and easy for him to text or call me.

I purchased this about 3 months ago for my 7 year old. I'm looking for a replacement due to the fact that this watch just isn't working out. Cellular connection is generally poor and the battery only lasts about half the day.

The touchscreen does not work well, and the call performance is mixed at best. Frequency of call drops or calls not going though at all is too high for my liking.
