Why do you recomend this over the klein?

I actually own both  Klein is great for specialty tolls has more individual smaller pockets. The mill walkie bag I use for my larger tools. Milwaukee bag has bigger pockets to store larger things. The client bag has more individual to tool pockets . Both great bags both well-designed and thought out can't go wrong with either one. Hope that helps 

Would i be able to carry basic electrician hand tools and 2 school textbooks plus lunch on a motorcycle comfortable with this bag?

Yes it's an excellent backpack I carry mine to work every day with small tools and lunch items it's very comfortable and think you would have no trouble on your motorcycle I have rode for years even though I don't have one at this time.

I think this would work well for that. I use mine to pack all my hand tools into the woods and have never had a problem. The plastic base doesn't feel uncomfortable and works awesome so yout bag doesn't tip over.
