Nice Give, Stretchy (That's A Good Thing) Cooler; UPDATE
Update: I had my 1st physical therapy appointment yesterday. The therapist that made my cast commented these were better than the thicker stocking covers they had given me. She wanted to know where I had found them. We discussed unraveling issues (I don't think they're that bad) and the seam, but the comfort of a stretchy, thinner cover really outweighs the irritation of unraveling. I'm back for a second package as I will be in this cast for a while.I had CMC & carpal tunnel surgery on my left thumb & wrist three weeks ago. I'm in one of those removable casts with Velcro straps. Physical therapy gave me two stocking covers, one thicker, one thinner like this. I got really tired of washing those things, so I came to my favorite place to look for more. All the reviews are right. They do unravel, but I'll happily take that because the material is thinner, stretchier and my hand sweats less in this hot cast. The most I can say for the thicker material is that it doesn't unravel. My thumb and palm are still pretty dang sore and a bit swollen. It is miserable trying to get my sore thumb out of a stocking with little give several times a day for massages. Comfort and an easier time healing are a nice trade for clippng stings from something I won't be wearing hopefully that much longer.

Sturdy and not just for casting
Having to wear a short arm splint for an extended time, I wanted to find a washable, changeable stockinet arm cover for underneath.Since the edges of these are not finished, as such, it seems clear that they are meant to be under, and incorporated into, a short arm cast. Since I intended to use them multiple times, I simple sealed the edges with a commercial fray-stopper…..available at any store that sells sewing supplies ( and probably on Amazon, too!)The fact that this stockinet has thumbs, too, makes it much more comfortable to wear beneath a plastic, otherwise sticky and not-always-fresh splint. This solves those problems.

Comfortable! Perfect for wearing under wrist brace!
Definitely easier to wash this instead of brace to keep smells away. I ordered size x-small and it fits perfectly. Fabric is very lightweight and stretches out almost immediately once you put on. Yes, the ends will fray, which is why I deducted 1 star. I like that pack comes with 10, so they can easily be washed and used as needed. I would recommend ordering smaller size, as fabric is very forgiving and will stretch to fit larger sizes.

Highly recommend
The knit arm sleeves helped eliminate discomfort and itching while wearing hand/arm splints or braces. After spraining and fracturing my wrists and arm a friend gave me a couple sleeves she had. What a game changer! The soft fabric under the braces helped stop the irritation. I immediately purchased more sleeves on Amazon, so as to have a clean pair every day. My PHYSICAL THERAPIST saw them on the counter and asked where I bought them and is going to recommend them to his patients.

Great for bandage protection
I bought these to cover my bandage from carpel tunnel surgery to keep it clean. Worked out well.

Very nicely made and works well under a splint
I am impressed with these cotton wrist sleeves. I recently broke my arm and had to wear a hard splint. These were a life saver. So comfortable. The thumb and palm area were a bit long, but I just folded them over. I tried cutting them, but the will fray. Folding worked the best. They also wash and dry nicely.

Decent for disposable
They do their job protecting my skin from a rough brace, but only good for maybe one or two washes before they unravel. Cheap enough I just treated them as semi-disposable.

Fits snug but not too tight
Easy to wear, can cut to correct length. Perfect to wear under a forearm splint
