Stealth Hydroponics Bubbleponics 6 Planter Starter Kit

Ok so yeah, you open it up, and its just a set of things you could of bought your self.That being said, i went and tried to find close comparisons for everything on amazon.6 3.75 Inch netted Pots $5.916 Rockwool Cubes $5.91 (i've seen big sets for which sell for only a little more though)Air Pump $14.19 (Hydrofarm AAPA3.2L 2-Watt 1 outlet)Air Stone $9.23 (about 2 by 2 inches)Hydration Rocks $10.33 (i saw 2 pounds for this price, Pretty sure I received somewhere between 1 and 2 pounds)Six Outlet Irrigation Manifold $13.99 (u could possibly find a cheaper version from another company, its made by DIG)Submersible Pump 14.22 (Hydrofarm AAPW160)Says it comes with a Pro Drainage Kit which cost about $8.49 + shipping, but it actually came with just an inline valve which looks very similar, but I found a look a like by another company called Two Little Fishies. It comes with the 5/8 barb so it is a bigger one, still around 8-9$It also comes with some tubing to hook everything together.The Bucket has the 6 holes cut in the top, 1 drainage hole, with a grommet, which I had to stick the inline valve into, which squeezed in and works perfect with no leaks.1 smaller hole up top for the air hose I'm assuming. It also looked like it came with standard holes under the handles like some storage buckets have. Just 1 small hole on each side, no biggie.I saw 10 gallon buckets on sale for 5 bucks at target, and this might just be an 8 gallonSo Everything listed here comes to $87.27, but you would also probably need to buy some tubing, some grommets or sealant (for the drainage hole), and cut the holes in the box.I don't own any power tools, so I'm pretty happy with the purchase.Though I would of liked the option to upgrade my water/air pumps, and only pay the additional difference of the model cost!*2014 03 30* UpdateSo I actually used this to grow 4 pretty big plants, 1 of the plants grew so big, that it started to tip the net pot over, and the net pot ended up falling right through the hole.This was also too SMALL for 4 plants,the roots have filled up the entire bucket.I had root rot initially with only 1 air stone, had to buy a new Air Pump, new Air Stones, and even ended up getting a more powerful water pump.To be honest, I probably won't buy again, but I don't regret the purchase either.Using a screw drivers and some wire cutters I can now make lids which hold the net pots, SO I've started making these my self for my next grow.

I was not pleased at all with the product. I have had one before shipped directly from Stealth and it was great. This tub had holes in it for the spicket to drain with, but the washer leaked, the submersible pump was so little that it fell over, the feeder tube that connected the pump to the water diffuser was so loose it kept falling off. The "stones" kept making the water rust colored, no matter how much I rinsed them. In general, I spent $100 for absolutely nothing!

My cucumbers are 15 inches tall 37 days from seed. Growing like weeds, that you can eat.

Expect to receive starter pieces only. You will still need lights, nutrients, and pH testing materials just to get started. What you do get seems to be things you could acquire at a decent pet shop and a rubbermaid container from Wally world. Since it is all bundled for you, and with the price of gas, I guess I can live with the price. Just think it is a bit misleading to call it a starter KIT.

A must have for any inside garden. Great yields and fun to watch grow would very much buy another 1

What type of lighting should be used with this system? Is there such thing as a Bundle with everything needed? Beside rhis what do i need to start growing?
