I'm a heavy meat eater (I eat carnivore at the moment) and my daily routine has been radically changed for the better by buying this machine. The ease and practicality of cooking meat in the air fryer is unheard of, it's so lazy, clean-up is a breeze, and most importantly the meat tastes incredibly good. I've tried another air fryer from an unknown brand, and the bottom of the frying pan started to peel off (ugh... teflon is not good in food). But thankfully, this air fryer has a ceramic pan which is dishwasher safe and doesn't peel! The meat cooks quickly and evenly, even from frozen, which is amazing. I can cook different sorts of meat, without adding fat to the fryer. The meat becomes crisp, browned and is really, really good. If you are a heavy meat eater, you need this, for other foods I haven't tried it yet. I think I've regained hours per week, I never use the oven or my cast iron pan anymore, which saves me on clean up, preparation, cook times and planning & mental space. I don't have to think ahead, just reheat the fryer for 3 minutes then put some meat in it, 12 minutes later it's done, voilà! Some reviewers speak of a plastic smell. Indeed, the first 5 or 6 times I used it I could smell a 'new car smell' when I was done, but it was not very noticeable. After about a week though it was completely gone. I'm from Belgium, and use an adapter and no problem there. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who wants easier and convenient yet delicious cooking.

Over the years I have bought many 'latest fad/gadget' kitchen products. Waffle makers, GF Grills, Toasted sandwich makers, Nutribullets etc etc I've had them all and they get used very little or not at all and spend most of their life in the cupboard. I was therefore reluctant to fall for it again with an Air Fryer. After my sister telling me for months how good they were I eventually followed the crowds, took the plunge and bought one. 6 weeks on I am extremely impessed and pleased with this item, I use it pretty much every single day. Since buying it I have only used my oven twice (items too large for the air fryer). I went for this Ninja as I wanted cermic for health purposes. It cooks really well, it cooks fast and is easy to clean. Based on the speed it cooks it is inevitable that I will be using less electricity. I live alone so its fine for me and probably for 2 people but it might be a little small for 3-4 people so bear that in mind. I will make a decision over the next month or so but I am considering getting a second one to enable me to cook larger portions. For once a kitchen gadget that isn't hidden away gathering dust. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love this ninja air fryer . It’s so simple to use you can’t go wrong . Also pleasing on the eye and doesn’t take up much room at all . You can cook a roast dinner for two in about 30 minutes. Roast potatoes come out lovely and crispy

We’ve had this Ninja air fryer for about a year and a half, and we use it all the time. It’s the perfect size for a couple: not too bulky, but still powerful and versatile. It also looks great on the countertop, which is a bonus. We got a couple of air fryer cookbooks when we bought it, and I’d definitely recommend doing the same if you’re new to air frying. It took us a little while to get used to it, but now it’s second nature. The variety of things we can cook in it is brilliant. One of our favourites is salmon in an orange, honey and soy sauce glaze ... it turns out beautifully every time. We also bought reusable silicone air fryer liners to go with it, which have made clean-up much easier. I don’t use them for things like chips (they crisp up better without), but they’re ideal for anything saucy or messy -especially that salmon recipe! It’s been interesting to see that more and more supermarket convenience foods now include air fryer instructions, just like they did when microwaves first came out. It feels like air fryers are becoming a standard part of modern kitchens, and I can see why. If you’re thinking of buying one, I’d say go for it—just add a cookbook or two and some silicone liners to make life even easier. We’re genuinely so glad we bought it. It’s a great little machine, and a brilliant all-rounder for a couple or small household.

A couple of friends had told me over the last couple of years about these air fryers, not just Ninja's but other makes too, so I had been pondering about buying one, I'd looked at Ninja's but they were quite a bit more expensive than other makes, so I was about to buy a cheaper brand when Amazon messaged me that this was on offer with 30% off...which made it only a fraction more than the competition, so I snapped one up. The quality looks great, although the grey colour does tend to show every mark, but not as bad as black... It's very simple to use, power on, set the temp, set the time, and press start (Pre-heat for 3 mins too)......but there is one thing that drives me crazy...Setting the cooking timer... Ninja wisdom dictates that when you press the time button it defaults to 20 mins....and if you press the button to reduce the time it will skip down in 5 minute blocks then down to zero...WHY NOT JUST START A ZERO & go up in 1 min intervals....you know, like non Ninja's do?? Might not sound annoying, but it is...at least to me. Also, for air fryer noobs like I was....Ninja put a clear sticker to the left of the display with suggested heat & cooking times....unless you like charcoal IGNORE THAT! It says 20-25 minutes for some frozen chips & shows a little McDonalds type of box.... In reality one portion takes around 7-8 minutes...as I say, 25 minutes will get you charcoal.... What their Ninja reasoning is there I have no idea... So you will need a bit of trial & error and to keep checking often to see how things are going, but if you are cooking chips you will need to pull the pan out two or three times to give them a shake anyway. I've found its a good idea to invest in one of those bottles of light cooking oil sprays, gives your chips etc a couple of squirts before cooking and it really crisps them up. I've found it is excellent for jacket potatoes too, cook the spud in the microwave first for speed, then crisp in the air fryer for 5 minutes after for perfect baked spuds with crispy oven baked skins. I use it almost daily now, its rare to use my oven, overall i'm very pleased with my first air fryer. Two things i need to get are a divider to split the basket into two halves, and some kind of half tray so i can cook say chips in the open half and something with sauce, like say a piece of fish in sauce, in the half tray...not seen one of those yet but it'd be useful, i have seen the divider plates but they're very expensive for what they are... UPDATE: I've docked 1 star off my original review....purely because Ninja have made this utterly impossible to clean. Over time the grease builds up around, and especially behind the heating element, but this element is impossible to remove, as the steel bar, or wire, holding it in place is permanently riveted in place. So you can wipe around the heating element, but not behind, so the grease builds up behind the element and especially on the fan blades. In my case it has only been 3 months and the amount of grease stuck there is significant, and I have safety concerns over all this grease build up right next to the main heating element. It seems a very bad design flaw, and one that many others have also noted. My electric cooker has a grill element that simply pulls out, enabling you to relatively easily clean any grease build up behind it.....why haven't Ninja done similar? I've tried things such as small bottle brushes, and they help slightly, but no matter how you try, you cannot get to clean the fan blades or behind the heating element and that grease build up is surely unsafe.

Great air fryer. Was purchased to replace an old air fryer(different make) and I find this air fryer far superior to the old one I had. So easy to clean after use with hot soapy water. Number of uses other than airfrying,so very versatile. Drawer is a good size to cook for 2 people.fryer is well made,sturdy and great forcenergy efficient and time saving cooking.

We had a Tefal Actifry but after a couple of years that completely gave up the ghost. The reason why we bought an Actifry was due to the paddle, but we always felt there was something "off" about it. It didn't feel very well built, the paddle broke after about a year and the fit between the lid and body was poor, so a lot of hot air escaped. It was also quite noisy. After a couple of years of light/moderate use the heater element completely burned out so we got rid and decided to go for a non-paddle air fryer. Having seen the reviews of Tefal's - again a lot of citing poor build quality, we looked for another brand and happened across the Ninja air fryer. Persuaded by the very favourable reviews we decided to get one. A wise choice! Now obviously the major difference between the Actifry and the Ninja is that the Ninja doesn't have a paddle, which means that food needs to be shaken to ensure even cooking - no big deal. First impressions when we received it was that the build quality in comparison to the Actifry is night and day. The Ninja feels so much more solid. The pan and crisper plate are ceramic coated rather than Teflon, which also lends itself to a higher quality feel. The machine itself is much quieter in operation and the temperature controls are also very welcome - something that was very much missing from our Actifry. Also very welcome are the 4 cooking options - air fry, roast, dehydrate and reheat. So far we've only used the air fry function but we'll definitely be trying the others at some point. Cooking results so far have been excellent - we have cooked frozen chips, baby potatoes and fresh cut chips (yes we like our potatoes). What amazes me is the speed at which this thing cooks. With the Actifry it would take around 40 minutes to cook fresh cut chips, and even then they may need a little longer. With the Ninja we found that fresh cut chips took around 25 minutes - or 30 minutes if we wanted them extra crisp. It is far quieter than the Actifry and clean up is also much easier, as there are less items to clean - only the pan and crisper plate in comparison to the Actifry's lid, fan filter, pan and paddle. I'm looking forward to trying different foods in this that wouldn't have been possible in the Actifry, such as baked potatoes, roasted veg, and for drying out fruit using the dehydrate function. As you can tell, I am very impressed and given the higher build quality I am expecting to get many years' use out of it. At first glance it may seem a bit more limited in use than the Actifry due to the lack of paddle, but in actuality this makes it more versatile as you can use it to cook more delicate foods that would otherwise have been broken up by the paddle. Highly recommended!

I liked almost everything, I tried these products when they first appeared and ended up selling it, it was smaller but inconsistent and more trouble than what it benefitted. This however I found in John Lewis along with a coffee machine. I spoke to the usual very informed and truthful sales assistant and assessed the size, convenience and price, it was on offer and so decided to buy, however no stock due to its popularity in reduction price, usage and savings in time and money, it’s fantastic I bought two collapsable silicon inners that save on washing up although you can put the food holder in dishwasher, the inners are great, safe and easy to store as you can have one always ready to go in machine, pre heat 2/3 mins take potatoes, squash, carrots, parsnips, and slice, chip, cube etc and addd seasoning of choice, even oil if required, same for meat chicken, lamb, pork etc and I usually microwave the afore mipentioned veg to just get them started, as apposed to boiling, in container, lid on drop of water 3 tea spoons max, and three mins on 1000 or adjust accordingly, then into dryfry and 180 to 190 5 to 7mins and then check adjust and same again, fish, salad, meat, pasta being prepared as this cooks and your done corn on cob, let your mind go wild or look up some recipes, but no heating the fan oven to then wait 30 mins or more and apart from Pizza I haven’t used oven since three months, that's just the tip, I can see Christmas beeping lots more fun, and flexible. Also much cheaper and healthier, less washing up. It’s a win win like microwave if you use correctly and remember they have moved on in the past thirty years, my new Panasonic MW has no turntable and so much larger capacity, I had to replace my 15 year old Panasonic as it started making a funny noise? Now I can literally get a chicken portion out of freezer and within 30 mins be sat down eating a lovely succulent meal with veg or accompanied veg, baked potato, or whatever and only a plate and inner silicone container and bowl to wash. I’m sat here now with nothing out of freezer and could be eating a lovely meal in 30 mins, instead I’m going to do a risotto as I got a homemade stock out of freezer yesterday and that’s in fridge, so it’s not that I can’t cook or that I don’t like good food, I do and I’m just pointing out those things like, having to go into town (this is like you have to eat) but you don’t have a car, so it’s plan to get to bus outperform train station etc, or cut a piece of wood, but you don’t have a saw, so what I’m saying is this and the other things I’ve mentioned just give you mother options and make it Quicker whilst saving money in the long run.
