With a heated seedling mat and some shoplights, the seeds germinated within 3 to 5 days. Fast germination, great seeds and seemingly easy to grow.

These are easy to grow, and the color is absolutely stunning in any garden. Deadhead to keep them blooming until late summer/early fall, but if you leave the seed heads on the flowers they'll self-sow for you and keep coming back. Grow them in a spot where they get a good 5-6 hours of sun, for best results, otherwise they'll be a bit lanky. An easy-to-grow winner with a wonderful old-fashioned wildflower look and spectacular color, these are glorious to behold, and attract butterflies and beneficials. Plant them with any other cottage-garden favorite such as black-eyed susans, bee balm, coneflowers, digitalis, and dianthus.
